I was surprised by this specific advice. I wasn't expecting to hear something so actionable. I try to live that way. The day does go better when I do several things before looking at my phone. |
My kids schools often send last minute notices, so this is something i would like to do but cannot |
I like this. |
Isn't he the same man/ now monk who worked as an engineer at Motorola? |
SERIOUSLY? Something is wrong with you! You'll be fine with a small delay for world PEACE! |
Of course you don't, Susan. |
SERIOUSLY?!?! What a selfish person you must be and I hope I do not know you. |
You are RIDICULOUS, OP. Namaste. |

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me;
Let there be peace on earth the peace that was meant to be. With God as our presence, family all are we. Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now. With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow; To take each moment and live each moment in peace eternally. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. |
you can look for a notice and then turn it off and not scroll. |
If only they announced the schedule ahead of time, so people could make alternate arrangements…. If only there were other bridges across the Potomac….. Wait a minute…… |
Can you just check for those and stop? |
I think you're the person with the problem, making assumptions. As I posted later, the concern was for an appointment at Sibley Hospital. MY concern was that the entire chain bridge would be shut down (it was for a period) and DC had not posted where the route/rolling closures would be. I was trying to plan ahead. I actually did see the monks in Arlington, so again you are making assumptions. Two things can be true. I was majorly inconvenienced for a serious appointment (it took me 90+ minutes for what should have been 20) and I also respect what the monks are doing. |
Its not just about he bridges. The main streets in Georgetown/Palisades were impacted for 2 hours. |
Oh, the irony in this response. You didn’t listen to anything the monk said did you? |
