I’m planning to see them when they come to Capitol Hill. I just want to feel their energy as they walk by.

Saw them in Arlington yesterday with a ton of my neighbors. It was so uplifting to be together as a community and to show our support for their commitment to peace.

It just took me over an hour to do a drive that normally takes 10 minutes. What they’ve done is impressive but I do wish they could have started walking today at, say, 10 am? I think they caused a lot of us to feel less than peaceful this morning…

You should have planned ahead. You were given a heads up days ago. You could have left earlier or taken a different route. You own your own peace. You choose your actions.

They had a planned event at AU this morning, they can't accommodate your schedule.

For anyone seeing them today, they walk VERY fast. Some locals in our neighborhood missed them b/c they misjudged how quickly they walk. Also, the live map is about 5 mins behind.

I did plan ahead and left very early, and I took a different route than I normally would, but I have truly never experienced anything like this in 15 years of living in DC through motorcades, head of state visits, inaugurations, etc. It was stop and go traffic for an hour on residential/side streets. I’m just posting this to let other people know in case they too have appointments they can’t miss or places they need to be while the monks are moving around town.

Near AU. They will have lunch. Then they will walk to Cathedral. Then meet with inter faith leaders. Tomorrow event around GWU. They return to TX this week, by bus.
