As a lawyer, Kavenaugh knows that staying calm during questioning is more persuasive. But it’s one more way he showed he can’t control himself. People who understand human behavior and recognize red flags saw a man who exhibited all the behavior or someone capable of the crime. It made him look guilty, not “passionate”.

If your coworkers and family members act like this, I’m sorry. It’s not normal or healthy.

Clearly most people commenting on how nasty or whatever she is either haven't watched any of the videos or haven't seen Trump and his accolades being far more combative and downright nasty to reporters. DP. This is an irrational take. Of course the gravity, setting and tenor of the question asked will impact the behavior of the person answering.

What this interview shows is that when (not if, in my opinion) bad information comes out about Porter and she’s in a Senate hearing, she will behave worse than Kavanaugh did, and that is a very low bar.

Her behavior here is indefensible and in a state where people are restless and angry with Democrats, that creates a vulnerability that should not exist.

Well, she’s not being compared against Vance or Miller. She’s being compared against every other candidate in her race who answered the exact same questions from the exact same interviewer respectfully and thoughtfully.
