You cannot compare the two. Kavanaugh was falsely accused of gang rape. That tends to upset people.

Kavanaugh was caught red-faced while his cronies tried to cover it up.

I agree. There's a lot of resentment toward progressives in California. Even San Francisco recalled their DA. If Democrats choose a rude, abrasive, and unlikeable candidate, they will be vulnerable as long as Republicans choose someone sane. People can mock Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he would win in a heartbeat over Katie Porter today.

Politics right now in the USA is the ugliest it's been in my lifetime - I'm pretty old.

To win an election voters need to believe you are capable, effective, approachable, and able to communicate.

She demonstrated none of these qualities in her interview.

For folks willing to watch, this is the entire set of interviews, where yes, the reporter asks EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE the same questions.

Comms 101: answer the question you want asked, not the one you were asked. Like they all did except her.

Hmmmm. As a woman I hate the fact she’s going to be called out for this behavior when we all know Trump behaves much worse than this on a daily basis and no one clutches their pearls over his behavior. That being said, would I want to spend time with her? Heck no. And I also don’t think you have to be rude and argumentative to be strong.

If you ignore the abrasive behavior she comes across as unprepared and not willing to discuss issues. Neither of these are a good look and if I was a CA voter, I’d be looking for an alternative candidate to support.

8:17 here again. It just dawned on me what really rubbed me the wrong way about her behavior. It’s her air of entitlement: she’s a democrat running so she’s going to win. She doesn’t have to work to win anyone’s vote. She’s going to be handed the governorship on a silver platter as she’s a democrat running in California. You would think after seeing the Democrats pull this routine in VA, they would smarten up. Trump leaves doors wide open for team D, and they somehow manage to find a way to blow it.
