Do you know how many women live off their husbands after an especially those that divorce rich men? I don’t get why people believe it should only go one way. Women are always given the advice to take him for all you can and to max out whatever money and assets they can get - why shouldn’t men be given the same advice? |
That is not the scenario, though. He was cheating her out of money for a very long time. |
He has been hated and bashed since he accepted money in the divorce. The legal issues came later. I am not saying he is a great guy, I just don’t have an issue with men getting legal assets in a divorce. I also don’t think Kelly is a kind woman full of grace. She stirred the hate against him, even well after the cancer diagnosis and her FU song as about what he got in the divorce that he was legally entitled to. I feel for the kids but I think he a Kelly we’re pretty much two people in a pod. I don’t see either of them as nice people. |
No one cares. This is a thread about Brandon Blackstock, not you. |
WAS is the past tense for when someone dies. |
They are unrelated to her - ergo, step children.

Interesting. I’m not a Jew but I know around a dozen Seths and they’re all Jews. |
Can someone clarify he didn’t just go after (or get?) money she made during the marriage — it was also her FUTURE career earnings too? She makes a boatload from that TV show, for example — probably more than music. |
Wasn’t his dad the same sort of schemer living off wealthy ex wives or some such too? And Brandon got married to Kelly when she was at her heaviest. And was a serial cheater through their marriage. In other words, he never loved her, he was a conniving gold digging scammer like his old man. |
You made most of that up. |
| He acted as her agent throughout their marriage and made money from all the gigs and contracts that he booked for her. After he asked for alimony and child support (which was awarded based on state laws and the prenup), she then reported his agent activities as illegal as he wasn’t licensed as an agent in that state. She has always known he wasn’t licensed but was angry he wanted money / assets from her in the divorce and retaliated. |
He was awarded a 1.3 million dollar payment as per the prenup. He was also awarded child support, and alimony until Jan 2024. He wanted the Montana ranch and fought for that but was unsuccessful. He then bought his own small ranch in Montana in 2022 after his cancer diagnosis to be near his extended family. In 2024 he was found guilty of acting as her agent without an agent license and was required to pay back the earnings he made as her agent. |
Nope nope nope. You have it wrong. The divorce went public and Starstruck (Brandon's Dady's firm) sued her for breech of oral management contract in LA seeking additional commission money including future commissions claiming they made her a star. This is where Blake Shelton starts the "oh shit -- let me look at my books" and quietly gets rid of Brandon who was also his BFF. She then filed a labor dispute in LA a few months after they tried to sue her and won that though that took years to get through and he appealed it then settled it outside of court in 2024. He had been dealing with his diagnosis for a few years by then. |
| Wonder if we will ever hear who he named in his will. |
What’s the timeline of his first divorce and dating Kelly? His old man wasn’t in the industry too? Doesn’t have ex wives and/or female talent he got rich off of? Pretty sure I read those allegations here and on lipstick alley. |
