Rich people are not the majority in DC.

Because when the mob rules, you have mob rules.

Your comment inadvertently proves the point. Bicyclists seem to have completely deluded themselves about the risks they run. It's their right to get themselves killed but they shouldn't be allowed to take children with them. It's not the kid's fault they were born to a moron.

You are insane. Point out on the doll where the cyclist delayed you from getting to your destination by two minutes.

Be mindful if you hanging out on federal land in DC. Park Police have started arresting people for open containers and marijuana usage. I thought this was only a ticketable offense but I guess not. Majority of parks in DC are ran by the national park service, so just keep an eye out.

They can’t do this. Marijuana is legal now.

It is a crime to use marijuana in public.

That sounds nice. Now what about broken bottles and drunks hanging out at bus stops?

It’s cute how excited you get when people are arrested for committing ticketable offenses you don’t partake in yet recoil in horror at the enforcement of other laws you willfully disregard.

Yes, we’d still be grateful. Arrest All Lawbreakers. Happy?

The average American commits three felonies a day completely unknowingly. You personally may not be committing three felonies day every day but I would be willing to put money down that if "arrest all lawbreakers" was implemented unilaterally you'd be in jail sooner rather than later.

Our entire society is predicated on those authorized to commit violence on behalf of the state using good discretion in doing so. If they weren't allowed to we'd all be in jail.

A family of any color peacefully drinking alcohol in the park deserves that discretion. And if your only argument is "well they broke the law" then you deserve to be in jail right alongside them, because chances are you did too.

What are these 3 felonies a day specifically? I see there’s a book but no details about the alleged crimes.

Yes. It’s about time that police - at any level started cracking down on lawlessness and public disorder. I’m sick and tired of smelling pot on sidewalks and wafting from moving vehicles.

Public use is not legal in DC, and particularly not on federal land.

I would love it if they started arrested cyclists for their blatant disregard for pretty much all traffic laws, especially when they have children on board.

Way to target virtue-signaling, performative parental behavior. Nothing says ‘I’m morally superior” like riding your e-cargo bike through a red light with helmet-less little kids on board.

It stems from a fringe book, and the claim has been debunked. The overwhelming majority of people aren't committing any felonies.

Pfft. The average person has murdered 12 people.

Marijuana is not legal in DC. It’s just one of many crimes that are not enforced. This is why when the libs say “crime is down” everyone rolls their eyes.

D.C.'s local laws are irrelevant on federal land.

I think most random people are confused about that.
