Park Police enforcing open container laws with arrests

Anonymous
I can't imagine many people being upset about this. When cops turn a blind eye to drug and alcohol abuse, it leads to rowdy behavior, drunk driving, fights, vandalism and injury to others. I don't understand why cops aren't protecting the rest of citizens from the worst offenders. They just stand back and watch. Like they did at Navy Yard with all the roman candles as they aimed them at cars and other persons on the street. FAFO

Not a bad first step. Next thing they need to do is start arresting all of the people smoking dope while driving.

Good.

This is MAGA in-action.

Yes they have started arresting people who let their dogs off leash. About time!

How about enforcing the speed limit in rock creek park? A few arrest would be great.

Good! I hate dealing with off-leash dogs.

You voted for no beer at your family reunion picnic in the picnic pavilions in the park?

Local elections have nothing other to do with federal park land.

DP

Yes. Yes I absolutely voted for that.

I don’t want drunks leaving empty beer cans and bottles all over the place in the park. They were sober and had the energy to carry in full cases of beer, but after drinking them all, they can’t muster the strength or motivation to haul away the empties?

That’s why.

Do your boozing someplace else. Not in our parks.

Incorrect. DC has cooperative agreements with the Park Police and other feds that allow them to cod law enforcement in areas around federal property. Which in DC, is almost everywhere.
