citation needed, and must show total number of dogs by breed vs. number of bites by breed. |
So the anti-pit troll is the "bosun dogs" crazyposter?! ![]() ![]() ![]() STAAAAAHP Nobody needs more mutts. You need people who understand how to properly train and handle their dogs, not new dogs. |
Why? There are plenty in shelters and rescues. I have 2 non-pit mutt fosters right now in my house and no takers for 3+ month. We don't need more mutts. |
I mean, it tracks with their crazy business model... Same unhinged style of posting, too. |
Yes, and border collies will nip at the feet of their herd, not tear them apart. |
Were you the one who went nuts on the bosun breed post? Why? I’m not PP but I see why there is a reason to breed more family friendly Benji types. Lots of people don’t need a fancy pure bred but don’t want to risk their communities safety with a pit mix. This is not unreasonable |
DP You’re sock puppeting and no, their posting style was not unhinged at all. |
Most people I’ve spoken to find that most shelters are full of older dogs or young pit bull mixes. |
Nature plays a big part in human beings, and we are pretty evolved within the animal kingdom. Why are people in denial about the role of nature and breeding in dogs?
I am all for banning pit bulls starting at some reasonable time, eg 20 years from now. |
Well, my experience with a local rescue organization is different - there are plenty of non-pit bull dogs to choose from. Easy to check, really... Do you need assistance finding a dog? Let me know, I'll help you. |
There are already too many "family friendly Benji types". We do not need more dogs. Period. |
Hi Bosun Betches! And yes, it totally was! And they took it offsite to continue their brand of crazy. Totally unhinged behavior from adults, and damaging to their credibility as ethical, responsible breeders. Nobody with skin that thin should be running any kind of business, let alone one responsible for multiple lives. |
Most people you speak with are idiots then, or at least people who aren't willing to put in a bit more effort to find the dog of their choice. Shelters take the leftovers. Look at breed-specific rescues or even generic rescues, many of whom "foster out" the "more adoptable" dogs who land in shelters. If you're not willing to research enough to know that, you probably shouldn't have a dog. |
Please don't enable yet-another mediocre dog owner. If they can't even figure this out for themselves, what does that say about their willingness to troubleshoot and problem-solve whatever behavioral issues their dog will have? People who can't do this basic legwork for themselves self-select out of dog ownership, which is as it should be. We don't need more ignorant, entitled people having dogs, which are a privilege and significant responsibility, not a right. |
You wouldn't have to ban the breed if you bettered the licensing process, and if you can't think of how to enforce that, how are you going to enforce a breed ban? And if the problem isn't just "pits" but also all the "pit mixes", well, good luck. Anyone with common sense sees that this just doesn't work, hasn't worked, and won't. Nothing changes if nothing changes, folks. You've got to think differently if you actually want a solution. |
