NP. Totally agree but every single thing posted showing the evidence is viewed as ‘click bait’ by the unhinged pit bull supporter. I think there’s mostly just one on here, but she posts and rants a lot and insults everyone who doesn’t agree with her. I once saw an op Ed posted on here by an ER doctor of 30 years who said he’d seen a dramatic increase of fatal to serious dog bites that corresponded with the increase in the pit bull population (and all serious bites he saw were from pits- far worse than even typical ‘aggressive’ breeds like German shepherds). Pit bull lady went nuts as always, claiming it was ‘fake news’ and ‘click bait’, and that ‘idiot’ dog owners who don’t ’train’ properly are the problem, and of course claiming that chihuahuas and Goldens are just as dangerous. Her other go to argument is that pits aren’t a defined breed so there’s no point in trying to ban them.

Shes just unhinged

What's unhinged are the several people who, without fail, insist on derailing any thread about "pit bulls" with their own paranoia, then lash out and personally attack anyone who tries to use logic, reason, or basic facts to counter the nonsense. The same people starting the messy derails will then claim they're being attacked by anyone trying to push back on their bs, or even just trying to follow the thread. This thread isn't about a "killer pit bull". It's about a perfectly fine dog park encounter. Some of you need to learn how to focus and not let your shitposting muck up every. single. thread about a dog breed you don't like. It really does say "obsession" in a way that's psychologically unhealthy, as does your need to project and call the sane people who can use logic and follow the threads "unhinged". You have a weirdly-specific main character syndrome, combined with a persecution complex and an OCD-like need to spout nonsense about dogs you know very little about. It's bizarre.

Also: breed bans don't work. You can google that for yourself and find plenty of credible sources, if you want to be smarter than you habitually seem to be.

The public housing by where I live banned pit bulls so clearly they feel they’ve found a way to identify the breed enough for their purposes.

It has significantly reduced dog attacks in the neighborhood.

As far as the rest, I can’t bother to respond to your blather and insults. And yes, pro bit bull poster who lurks here is basically you/one person. You are not well educated compared to most people on here- sorry, the truth hurts - and your posting and language style is quite distinctive.

If you had statistics to back your claims, you'd cite them. Instead, you hurl insults and pretend you know who the anons are. You have odd hobbies, PP, and you sound like a judgmental jerk.

See it’s just one of you. And yea, the doctor had years of experience seeing dog attack victims in ER and was writing an op ed to let people know his professional opinion. Sorry, you can’t accept any sense of reality.

And I’m not posting stats of where I live obviously. You’d criticize them anyway because anything that doesn’t fit your mo on ‘pit bulls are the sweetest! Any criticism of them is because their owners are bad! It’s an owners problem!’ ‘I once had a golden retriever bite me!’

FYI- you’re a pit bull owner. YOU are part of the problem.

I don't know what you mean about "see it's just one of you" when multiple people seem to have responded to you before I did. You seem to have an odd obsession or maybe a persecution delusion, thinking just one mysterious poster is out to get you? I don't currently own a pit bull, or a pit mix. I have, and she was an incredible dog, so I chime in on these anti-pit threads. It's impressive, in a way, how reliably the anti-pit posters of this forum turn to all-caps and insults, especially when failing to address legitimate criticisms of their argument or refusing to respond with anything that would substantiate their position, like facts or stats. It's almost like you know you don't have an actual leg to stand on.

Look, your uneducated vernacular and obsessive writing style are obvious. Unless of course you’re trying to claim that every pit bull poster is an idiot who writes like a mentally ill teenager.

Now of course you’ll play victim and like you’re offended that I’m insulting you, although your typical style on here is to immediately call people stupid and idiots etc for not agreeing with you. And of course anyone who posts their experience/knowledge must ‘show citations’ according to you, but any sources provided are ‘fake news’ or ‘click bait’.

Good luck to you and your pitties.

I'm not offended by your stupidity and nonsense, nor is it possible to victimize me with it. I'd have to care what you think to be hurt by what you say. I don't. I point out the holes in your ridiculous arguments so that the sane people who may be reading these threads won't be stupidwashed by your drivel.

Insulting my "uneducated vernacular" and claiming I write "like a mentally ill teenager" is amusing, considering you don't understand the differences between opinion pieces, blogs, clickbait, and credible statistics. All you seem able to do is lash out at me, which proves only one thing: the weakness of your argument. There's even a fancy name for that, which I'm sure you know, because you're so educated, right?

From now on, every time you attack me, I'll set aside a dollar. At the end of the month, I'll make a donation to Laila's Legacy, a pro-pittie DC-area rescue: https://www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org/whoislaila Your hate will help pit bulls so hate away, hater! You're not bothering me at all.

For anyone who wants to educate themselves, this site has tons of facts and citations.

Wow

Pit bulls are less than 6% of all dogs in the USA, but they are the #1 dog killer of women, children, and other people’s pets and animals by far.

These also are the most likely dog breed to attack (and even eat) their owners or family members.

This is an ad for a law firm. Some of what it cites is credible, a lot is badly biased and/or outdated.

This is a thread about a pit bull in a dog park who did absolutely nothing wrong.

It has been hijacked by the usual anti-pit poster(s), and is now being spammed with "citations", mostly from one poster who seems to have a personal vendetta against a character they've made in their own head, lumping multiple posters together as some kind of enemy that must be destroyed, along with all "pit bulls". Please use your head. These links to business or personal blogs that have a distinct and deliberate anti-pit bias aren't credible sources, as requested, to address specific points that were already raised. They're usually a firehose of anti-pit "facts" that are exhausting to try to sift through, and the pp posting them will lash out personally at anyone trying to discuss them rationally.

Again, the subject of this thread was a happy, innocent dog having a great day at the dog park WITHOUT INCIDENT.

Ask yourself why someone would need to use a positive thread to dump their hatred and bias.

It contains many independent sources and citations. It is very sad that you reject every single piece of evidence

There are plenty of citations

In the 10 years from 2009 to 2018, pit bulls killed or maimed 3,569 people in the USA and Canada. (Merritt Clifton, Dog Attack Deaths & Maimings, U.S. & Canada, 1982-2018 Log.) They killed over 80% of all Americans who are killed by dogs. (Colleen Lynn, 2015 U.S. Dog Bite Fatalities)

I'll ask again: How is this anti-pit propaganda relevant to the thread you're posting it on?

I do know, sadly. This person pulls this mess a lot. Still, it's worth pointing out the crazy so that sane people can see the propaganda and nonsense for what it is. The troll will never change, and I'm not doing it for the troll.
