Who is in the wrong here?

Signs that designate parking only for Vets/Pregnant women are not legally enforceable. Signs that designate for pickup orders only are also not legally enforceable.

Signs that designate "15 minute parking only" are legally enforceable as long as the lot is a private lot.

If my pregnancy hormones were raging, I'd fire off a snarky email to corporate.

There were no close spots and I urgently need the medication and I’m in pain so I parked in the grocery pickup spot of which there were 4 and none of them were occupied. As I started walking into then store a manager stops me and tell me I need to move my car. I explain I’m sick and picking up drugs and will be in and out in 5 minutes. He block me from proceeding and tell me I have to move my car and it’s against store policy to do what I’m doing. I reply that there are 3 empty spots and I’m sick and just picking up meds. He tells me I can pick up my medication but I’m not welcome back. Who is in the wrong here?

He was totally in the wrong. Even if against policy - which wouldn’t make sense because you are going to pick up an item you purchased - it takes a real dearth of empathy on his part to even comment on your actions, much less actively try to stop you.

I haven’t read the comments but I’m sure it’s full of a bunch of jackasses telling you you’re the problem. I’m here to tell you you’re not!

Feel better OP.

There are situations where we need to put the rules aside and support our customers when they need it. You being pregnant and in pain is 100 percent one of those scenarios. Shame on him. He also needs to discover a little bit of human empathy.

Ita, but just look at this weird thread. Empathy is lacking.

Really indicates why we’re such a horrible country today.

You can't park in a spot that is labeled as For Harris Teeter Customers Only. You can be towed or ticketed.

You can't park in a spot that is labeled 15 Min Parking for HT Customers Only. You can be towed or ticketed.

You CAN park in a spot labeled Reserved for Pregnant/Expecting Mothers. Neither the store nor police can enforce this parking sign.

You CAN park in a spot labeled Reserved for Vets. Neither the store nor police can enforce this parking sign.

You CAN park in a spot labeled Pick-up Orders Only. Neither the store nor police can enforce this parking sign.

Also, to ban you from the store the manager must go through the official trespass procedure, which means having you served a trespass notice by a law enforcement officer.

Good to know; I parked in a pregnant/expecting mothers' spot a few months ago when my broken foot was in a boot.

You are wrong. Do you also park in handicap spots because you’ll “just be 5 mins”? Are you that big of a piece of sh!t?

I f***ing hate lazy entitled people like you.

No, because those are legally designated. The other random spots are not. I park there without remorse.

This is why I don’t use drugstores anymore.
I use e-pharmacy who delivers my meds to my ass in my house.

You have no remorse for parking in handicap spots? You’re a vile disgusting person.

Op is one of the reasons I hate America. “Mememe I’m the most important at all times”. Doesn’t it get exhausting being such an entitled twat?

At least she was willing to get out of the car.

You are wrong, but it’s a small wrong. You didn’t take, for example, a disabled parking spot or block a fire lane. He is an a$$hat. Let it go. It’s a tiny infraction and you won’t do it again, and there’s no curing his ugly-a$$ need to power trip. So who cares who is right and who is wrong?

This is why robots can't run the world. There are times such as this where human decency should be extended.

This.

Exactly, I hate it more because lazy, entitled people think they need prime parking spots to sit in their cars while someone waits on them.

Anonymous wrote:You were 100 percent wrong. I assume pick up is for online orders where people park and someone brings out their order. The store will lose money if the spots are not available. They have likely had complaints. Anyone who thinks “but there were other spots” or “I will only be a few minutes” are self absorbed. You have no idea when the next people are coming. You just thought you were more important than other people.

I am sorry you were sick and pregnant. The manager could have showed some sympathy, but likely a lot of people park there and lie about the reason.

I am also sorry that OP was sick and having a bad day but the bolded above is the truth. Your actions show that you do believe that you are more important than others. Not a good look especially when a child will be eventually in the picture and modeling your (poor) behavior.
