Spiderwebs by No Doubt. Catchy song about a stalker. |
Were you not paying attention when Naughty By Nature defined and explained it in detail in the song? |
A recent poll poll found that 50% of rape participants found it fun. |
This hits differently now:
They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said “no, no, no.” |
I really hated the Skater Boi song because the ballerina actually liked the guy, so why can't the punk guy just clean up a little for her? I agree with the pick me vibes. |
I was barely too old for this song. So I hated it more than anything. My cousin (born same year, but different grade) loved it. On repeat, and I pretended to like it for her sake. |

Leonard Cohen Hallelujah
I've heard it played like a hymn but if you pay attention to the lyrics...not so much. There was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah. |

The not so subtle sexual meanings are wow |
Yeah, what won't a man just change to satisfy a woman's cowardly bigotry instead of being true to himself and finding someone who respects him for who he is? No one hates women like women hate women. April Lavigne knows it. |
Am I the only one that doesn't see issue with the song? It was skate culture of the 90s showing people's shallow side and missed opportunity based on looks. |
LOL skaters and punks are equally cliquey as ballerinas and cheerleaders. Cliques are cliques. It's a pick me song ("see how much cooler I am than a mom?"). It's such a dated song. I remember when I was young hanging with some hippie types and they made fun of me because I wore a cardigan and painted my toenails. People are all the same. |
I don’t find these problematic at all. |
