Are people getting meaner?

I saw an older man screaming at a woman who did not put her cart in the corral in a parking lot. He looked deranged. A lot of people are powder kegs. Scary.

I think that the DMV always had a lot of people with mental health issues. There are a lot of type Acover educated misfits in the area. These people are successful professionals but they are strange people on a social level.

That's just a rule follower who is upset you aren't following their personal rules for the improvement of society. He probably is an HOA president.

Isn't that the truth. 90% or more of posters on the politics section especially are just miserable angry people.

Calling people a moron, idiot, stupid, is a regular occurrence. I didn't expect to see this level of ugliness considering the better umc life options & higher quality education the majority of this community has been blessed to have.

I have been in DCUM for 13 years and…

It hasn’t really changed much. The rest of society, maybe, this website, nope.

So society is catching up to DCUM?

I am just as mean as I've always been. No more, no less.

Pew research has established that as a fact.

Well, empathy is a sin now, so what do you expect?

I had a man scream at me demanding my parking spot I was sitting in waiting for my child to come out of an activity. I told him I'd be leaving in 10 minutes and he can have it then. A police officer was nearby so he went to get the police officer who told him there was an open spot two cars up and park there. It was truly bizarre. More strange was that there were no parking signs so you couldn't actually park there. I wasn't sure to be shocked or laugh.

After the first Trump election I personally witnessed at least 4 people lose their crap on people for, parking too close to the stripe next to a handicap space, there were 4 open and no one was parked in any of them.

One person screaming and yelling and accusing someone parked next to them of denting, not dinging but actually denting their car door, because they just so happened to be parked next to them.

Of going in front of them in the checkout lane, while they disappeared for about 5 minutes to grab something else, even though the line was long and they hadn't actually put anything on the belt yet.

A grown man screaming at a toddler, not his own, for some offense, I still can't figure out that one. The parent of the toddler called the police and the strange man was taken away in handcuffs.

I think it's all the Trumpers who were either emboldened by his crassness, or who felt hoodwinked by his broken promises, and were angry about it.

Why many voted a second time is beyond me. I think it will only get worse, because these same people are in shock and denial right now but sooner or later they are going to move to later stages of grief, anger, etc., we are all in for it.

You mean like this?

Yes, kind of like that except the poor kid was just along for a family grocery shopping trip, and the loon was a man, so extra scary and probably why he got carted off by the police.
