S/O: Do Trump supporters actually support the annexation of Canada and Greenland?

Personally, I would prefer to see a balancing of our states in terms of sizes. EG bust up California and Texas. Amalgamate those small east coast states like Rhode Island and Delaware.

Generally, we need to get away from these political borders that were drawn by European governors who didn't even have a decent map. Maryland-Delaware makes no sense. Why do we still have Lord Calvert's coat of arms as a flag. Talk about the person that started the once a slave always a slave convention. Wow, and liberals whine about Jefferson, but no Lord Calvert's statue in Baltimore is no worse for the BLM ire.

This has no relation to the question asked. You should start your own thread. Way to derail -

The idea of annexing Canada is ridiculous. Greenland, not as much. I don't think we'd actually take it by force, but by bullying, absolutely. Greenlanders won't be getting voting rights, however.

We can buy Groenland from Danemark. What’s the problem?

I thought we were broke. And that’s why we’re getting rid of the federal workers.

Wow. We are ruined for a generation.

Sad how awful so many GenX there are.

Please don’t blame the above comment in Gen X!!!

I’m pp, GenX, and my comment stands. I’m horrified by how many GenX support MAGA. More do, than don’t. We can’t deny reality. Even if it bites.

+1. I'm solid Gen X and it's a HUGE disappointment.

The problem is that Greenland is not for sale. Neither is Canada.
If you think politicians won’t sell Greenland or Canada for their own greedy gain, as they have sold their souls to Mammon, then you are naive. Everything is for sale, it all depends on the price willing to be paid.

This includes senate seats in Illinois. It is all for sale, baby, for the right price. And some offers are too good to refuse: sell or become a nuclear wasteland.

Who owns Canada such that they could sell it?

This is not a business deal. No amount of money would most of us in Canada want to be American, especially under Trump!
So you represent most Canadians, do ya? Well, Benedict Arnold was the one who ran to Canada, knowing he would be in fellow company. I don’t think you know your fellow Canadians well, especially the Chinese immigrants there.

Haha loser. You are going back to Benedict Arnold? You do know that Turtle Island (North America) is first Indigenous, and there are multiple treaties across Canada with the First Peoples of these lands. You might want to learn more about our country.

As I asked you before, have you even visited Canada? How do you know anything about us?
I have not visited Canada but I know Neil Young is hiding out up there. He thinks he can hole up in Canada safe and sound after putting down our Southern citizens.

We have not forgotten! And neither has Trump apparently, who heard ole Neil put her down. And our treasury could use them royalties taxes right about now.

I appreciate the banter and the ridiculousness Go Neil Young! You do know that Pearl Jam’s music is inspired by Neil Young.
Yes, I am trying to highlight how ridiculous the idea of America acquiring Canada. This has to be a similar stunt like when Reagan joked “let the bombing begin.”

Because Liberals are the most sour, dreadful people around who are obsessed, foaming at the mouth even, over every word Trump says, Trump The Great cannot but help take a dig at them. Liberals arrogantly assume they are smarter than Trump when they are not. Reagan spoke a truth: Liberals know so much that is not so.

No, I did not Pearl Jam was influenced by Neil Young. Although Neil Young fans complained, I actually liked the song Sample and Hold. It showed that Neil was not stuck in the 60s but could evolve and be relevant. I have a lot of respect for the man.

Maybe Trump wants Neil Young to be an American citizen so bad he is willing to conquer/buy/steal Canada to make it so.

Um. Because they DON’T WANT TO BE.

PP, thank you for your post. I am pretty sure you are Jeff or someone who thinks like him.

I appreciate Neil Young more and more now. Many of his songs are protest songs, including this one that touches on your country’s history.

“Another classic tune that appeared on his 1970 album, After The Gold Rush. The tune is a scathing indictment of racist ideologies associated with the American South. It addresses the long-lasting wounds of slavery and the need for reparations (“I saw cotton and I saw black, tall white mansions and little shacks. Southern Man, when will you pay them back?”

Actually, I retract my last post. I re-read your post. You could not be Jeff.

Going after Greenland is stupid and I don't care about it, but conquering Canada 100% makes sense.

Canada is part of North America and it only make sense for it to finally embrace that name and become American.

Think about it: people from any of the South American countries are called South Americans. We are called North Americans. And Canada is Canadians. Makes no sense.

North America should be all AMERICAN. Period. No United States and Canada separation. Then once combined, we can work our way down and eliminate the South American countries like Mexico first then Cuba, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc until you only have one giant America.

Tongue in cheek again. So what city would be the capital? You are ridiculous. I am a single sexy Canadian lady and could go for a drink.

I’d just like to note here that the guy who sold the Senate seat in Illinois was in federal prison until Trump pardoned him.

Yes! They are part of NATO, as we are, and can get help from NATO allies. Duh!
