S/O: Do Trump supporters actually support the annexation of Canada and Greenland?

I will remind you that we bought Louisiana from France. We bought Alaska from Russia. Didn’t you know that?
We can buy Groenland from Danemark. What’s the problem?

The problem is that Greenland is not for sale. Neither is Canada.

Greenland isn't for sale.

These kinds of threads make me feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Like the person (who was trying to take reasonable tone) who said we need to increase the number of Americans by forcibly annexing other countries. wtf?!

Because you can't just grab things that don't belong to you.

Personally, I would prefer to see a balancing of our states in terms of sizes. EG bust up California and Texas. Amalgamate those small east coast states like Rhode Island and Delaware.

Generally, we need to get away from these political borders that were drawn by European governors who didn't even have a decent map. Maryland-Delaware makes no sense. Why do we still have Lord Calvert's coat of arms as a flag. Talk about the person that started the once a slave always a slave convention. Wow, and liberals whine about Jefferson, but no Lord Calvert's statue in Baltimore is no worse for the BLM ire.

Wow. We are ruined for a generation.

Sad how awful so many GenX there are.

Please don’t blame the above comment in Gen X!!!

I’m pp, GenX, and my comment stands. I’m horrified by how many GenX support MAGA. More do, than don’t. We can’t deny reality. Even if it bites.

Another GenXer. Truly we suck. Much of our generation has always been this way, raised on Reagan as kids and Ayn Rand as college students.

And please, I don't want to hear "not all genxers". It's way too many of us. It's shameful.

Well in Risk Greenland is worth 5 points and it blocks invasion from Europe with only one path of attack. Central America(Panama) is worth 3 and also blocks invasion from South America with one path. Alaska does the same but we have Alaska already. Now to get the continent bonus we have to control Canada. This is Trump’s plan.

Think about it, how would you feel if Mexico decided to take the US in order to expand its territory?
And as much as I would love to be Canadian right now, most Americans would understand that Canada annexing the US in order to expand its territory would be a major violation of international law.

They can have Texas. I would be cool with that. Florida too.

Most of MAGA do not know what "annexation" means but they will gladly follow him over the cliff.

Because it’s not ours.
They don’t want it.
It would violate law, as others noted.
We dont just take what’s not ours like we have some inherent right. If I want part of your yard bc I think it makes more sense to be mine, am I just come take your property?

Wtf is wrong with some of you.

Because it's not always about you?

Pp didn't learn the very basic childhood lesson of "don't take what isn't yours".

I’d take Greenland if they were willing.

But no big deal if they do bits

US should want no part of Canada- they are broke and have no military. What little they do have is great, but not enough to protect their country from like, anyone.

All of this. Plus, if you've ever read Roman history, you'd know that territorial over-expansion contributes to the decline and fall of empires.

As a Canadian, I find the fact that ANY American thinks the US should annex any other democratic country, referencing China, or even as a joke referring RISK, at this point in time, absolutely chilling.

No worries, OP. China already owns most of Canada. They’ll soon own Greenland as well.

I am a Canadian and that statement is such nonsense. Have you ever visited Canada?
