S/O: Do Trump supporters actually support the annexation of Canada and Greenland?

Personally, I would prefer to see a balancing of our states in terms of sizes. EG bust up California and Texas. Amalgamate those small east coast states like Rhode Island and Delaware.

Generally, we need to get away from these political borders that were drawn by European governors who didn't even have a decent map. Maryland-Delaware makes no sense. Why do we still have Lord Calvert's coat of arms as a flag. Talk about the person that started the once a slave always a slave convention. Wow, and liberals whine about Jefferson, but no Lord Calvert's statue in Baltimore is no worse for the BLM ire.

Er, the point of immigration is people wanting to come here. That's very different than taking over countries whose populations don't want to be part of the US!

What would be the goal of simply "increasing the number of Americans"?! That's a vapid goal.

Trump's interest in Greenland and Canada is not at all about the people. He wants the land, the resources, and the Arctic access. The people are just in the way. No wonder they have no interest!

I’m pp, GenX, and my comment stands. I’m horrified by how many GenX support MAGA. More do, than don’t. We can’t deny reality. Even if it bites.

Yes, I'm GenX too and the number of GenX who are MAGA is deeply disappointing. They didn't become recently. The seeds were always there. I just didn't see it. So it's not like they got old and MAGA.

Come on Millennials. You guys are big enough. Your our only hope

The question we should ask is why shouldn't we want Greenland to be part of US. Why should it be under Denmark, a small nordic country very far away from Greenland that do not have the resources to keep it well. Why should it not be part of US?

Just 3 hours after arriving, Vance & his wife depart Greenland. And they never even left the military base.
The Vance's are so loathed they could’t leave the airport.
Another waste of taxpayer dollars.

“American representatives have been walking around, practically knocking on one door after another in the past few days to ask if people might be interested in a visit from the Vice President’s wife. Everywhere, the answer was the same: ‘No, thanks.’”— Jesper Steinmetz, TV2

You’re not exactly a Canadian expert are you? The southeastern part of Canada has very few immigrants coming in every year. Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island have a handful every year. These provinces are beautiful and clean. Besides farming and fishing there aren’t many jobs which keeps the population down. There’s nothing ruined about these provinces. And Nova Scotia has the mildest weather out of all the provinces.

Why shouldn’t Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova be part of Russia? Why shouldn’t Azerbaijan be part of Armenia? Why shouldn’t Palestine, Lebanon and Syria give up chunks of their land to Israel? Maybe we can give Alaska to Russia so they’ll calm down.

Because the people who live there don't want to be part of the United States. It's a very simple answer.

Because it's not always about you?

Playing devil's advocate here, not supporting anyone politically.
I think Greenland is supported in a wide bipartisan way.
What's not to like about expanding US territory? It would be good for Greenland also. Win win.

Now Canada, no way, not many people want to make it a territory much less a state. That won't happen or have any support, and was more of a meme joke.

That will never happen. Would cause another civil war.
No new states will ever be added.

I dont support having Canada join us. I would support buying Greenland. I would support taking Panama by force if a deal could not be reached.

It's not though: https://www.livenowfox.com/news/new-polls-little-support-us-takeover-canada-greenland-gaza Very few Americans want the US to take over Greenland.
