Nothing useful. It's of mild interest to see how far apart someone's reach target and safety are. A target of Swarthmore, and safety of Lycoming would be weird.

Neither did mine! But we knew she was a top kid and would easily get in UVA. Uva accepts about 50% of applicants from our private, about 25% of the graduating class get in. Non-Big3.

Posts like this were helpful to me last year in finding ideas to bring to our kid’s attention. So I’ll add ours in case they’re helpful to others. Obviously the categories depend on the acceptance history of your child’s HS, and clearly my kid only considered urban/quasi-urban locations.
