I’m pretty sure OOS acceptance was 25% last year so not a massive change.
Very nervous!! |
Daughter 32 act, uga gpa 4.1, only one B, very rigorous school oos that uga seems to like. 2022- got in EA and classic one month later. FWIW she’s premed at uga with a 3.97 midway through junior year. They were not wrong to take her! |
People still major in premed? Wow. |
Did I say that was her major? |
How are the kids attending from the DMV like the experience? |
Here's a comparison from the two recent posts for 50%: In-State Only (5,350 admits): UGA GPA: 4.18-4.43 SAT: 1350-1510 ACT: 31-34 AP/DE: 10-15 Total EA (9,500 admits): UGA GPA: 4.17-4.40 SAT: 1400-1500 ACT: 31-34 AP/DE: 9-14 |
When does decision come out???? |
4PM today |
Uhhh..all colleges have a premed path, nothing to do with a major. Apparently you are quite jealous of this person's daughter who, so long as she continues on her path, will be almost guaranteed to attend an allopathic medical school. Great, great choice by her! |
31/33 4.8 MCPS Prob 4.3 UGA gpa 9 APs Good EC and essay Rigor |

So is it right to assume the out of state admitted kids have a SAT in around the 1450-1500 range to get the total mid range of 1400-1500? |
Probably. Looks like that's the only slight difference. |
4pm can’t come soon enough!
DS Humanities Major 1530 SAT 10 AP/honors (Calc BC/11, Linear Algebra/12, Econ, Latin IV, APUSH, APWorld, AS Lit) Gpa on a 100 scale- attends an OOS boarding school. 97 weighted, 94 UW. The GPA is lower than others- he’s had a few B’s but I’m hoping that the rigor is enough. It’s a top choice for him. |
I would be shocked if he doesn't get in |
