I honestly have no idea how it will go!!! Thoughts?

I just posted about my daughter. I also had a son who graduated from UGA in 2022. He got in 2018 and standards were lower then, so I'm not going to give his info.

You cannot count on anything at UGA, but I wouldn't worry too much. I think she is good.

One thing - please look at her common app. I've heard about people who filled out the grid with grades incorrectly. Make sure you gave her credit for AP classes for two semesters, not just one (unless they changed the wording). I do think they will catch an error, but I'm not so sure that they will catch it before EA - if you think it is wrong, get in touch with school. Not trying to panic you, but the UGA grade section (at least used to) take a lot of concentration!

Yeah - I sure hope they double check their GPA. I thought it was very confusing and wish they had just used SRAR like other schools who recalculate on their own. I still am not 100% my daughter did it correctly. It states on their blog not to email them about GPA errors though, that they will catch them. We shall see I guess.....

Forgot to add MCPS and sibling at UGA

How can you have a 4.62 when they got all Bs junior year? How is MCPS weighting?

No it wasn't all B's. It was 6 A's and 6 B's. The B's were all in AP classes

How does one have a 4.62 with Bs??? Is this MoCo?
My DC in APS have all As, will have 11 or 12 APs and will never have a weighted 4.62.

Yes this is high for any standards. I wonder if she is weighting honors or DE classes. Uga gpa only weights ap and ib coursework.

Essentially straight A's 9th and 10th and then half A's and B's 11th. Will have 8 APs at graduation

Not a set amount. But the weighted gpa needs to be a good bit over 4.1 and you only get weight from AP. Or be an IB candidate.
