I'm voting for Harris...but also voting for Hogan

I vote D down the ticket.

This. The moderate republicans should focus on governor roles that don’t have these same nationwide risks/ implications. Until the Republicans finally clean out the Magas, the only ethical way to vote is Blue for now.

It’s all fine and dandy (and feels good) to say that Hogan is a moderate, but he will not be able to get away with bucking the party line vote except for in rare, rare circumstances (if at all). They will sideline him before anyone can blink.

Yes, all of this. I like Hogan and don't trust Alsobrooks, but there's no way I'm voting for anyone who will caucus with the Rs.

So I will 100% be voting Harris, and also voting Hogan for MD senate. I hope both win! Not looking forward to Harris hiking my taxes...

Who else is in the same camp?

Why, even anonymously, are you shouting your abysmal ignorance and stupidity?

Agree. It cannot possibly compete with yours.

You are a Republican. You are just a Republican voting for another Republican. Only a Republican would think this is worthy of an announcement.

And what if Trump wins, you nitwit. You like an entire MAGA government?

Hogan isn't MAGA. From MAGA perspective, it's better to have a Senate without Hogan. unless he is the 50th vote, and probably not even then.

Wrap it up any way that makes you feel good about your decision. McConnell recruited Hogan to run and is helping to finance Hogan's campaign.

McConnell is against Trump.

How do you figure that it’s worse for MAGA to have Hogan in the Senate than Alsobrooks? Because that’s the choice MD voters are making. Obviously, MAGA would rather have Hogan.

It's like with Romney. They are more interested in being against Trump. They will give bipartisan cover to their actions. Better to run a party with a cohesive message than catering to these folks.

Doesn’t matter. McConnell is very pro-Republican-controlled Senate. Judges, judges, judges!

I think Hogan is the right choice for Maryland and I like what he did governor. I also think Harris is the right choice for the United States.

What hogan did for Maryland was not be youngkin. He couldn’t do the damage he wanted because he was stopped by a Democrat controlled legislature. Think about the things he wanted to do, but was blocked. He is not a centrist if given a republican control. A Trump presidency and a McConnell like senate, what could go wrong, again.

Not everyone thinks Youngkin has been bad for VA. I for one think he has done great things in VA - along with Kaine and Warner who I also think have done a good job for VA. I'm a centrist too.

I'd vote for Hogan in a heart beat. Best local DMV politician since Tony Williams. Who doesn't like a centrist? Well, obviously a lot of people in America these days. Be the voice of reason! If I lived in MD, that's prob how my vote would line up (if I didn't write in someone for Pres, which yes yes, would be a waste of a vote). Go for it OP!

When is a centrist not a centrist? When he’s a Republican in Congress.

Who are you to say Hogan won’t be the next Joe Manchin?

Because that's not how the GOP operates. Republicans are kept in line with primary threats, and if that doesn't work, kompromat and threats of siccing their homegrown domestic terrorists on "RINOs."

Besides, to stand up to the rest of your party requires morals, and we already know Hogan has none, as evidenced by the fact that he's a Republican.

Sorry - I would argue that there are many Republicans who have more morals than some Dems I know.

I like Hogan. I’d vote for him for other offices, but giving the GOP another vote in the senate, no.

If Hogan is a centrist, as his record shows, why do you think he would vote for anything far right? Has he while MD Governor? He knows who elected him and who he would be representing.

Blind faith is risky. Every government cog aspires to higher status. Why wager on Hogan doing right by you? That’s silly.

Why vote for Alsobrooks to do right by you? No one can predict.

This. Not with the current reactionary Court, above all else.

It’s all about the numbers.

+1. Enjoy your tax cuts while the Chesapeake Bay watershed catches on fire from pollution. Great work.

Why do people even like Hogan? He was a terrible governor.
