| I care about women’s rights to bodily autonomy too much to vote for Hogan. Not that I respect his job as governor and would ever consider voting for him unless his opponent was Trump. |
I'd vote for Hogan in a heart beat. Best local DMV politician since Tony Williams. Who doesn't like a centrist? Well, obviously a lot of people in America these days. Be the voice of reason! If I lived in MD, that's prob how my vote would line up (if I didn't write in someone for Pres, which yes yes, would be a waste of a vote). Go for it OP! |
So you want Kamala as the President blocked by McConnell every day in every matter? |
|
Are you ok with Hogan confirming any Trump Supreme Court nominees?
I like Hogan. I’d vote for him for other offices, but giving the GOP another vote in the senate, no. |
|
I love Hogan, but the majority party has a lot of power for heading committees, etc. And if the GOP is the majority party, it will just be more weird culture laws, support for Putin and Kim, and tax breaks for the 0.01 percenters. So, not I cannot vote for him for the Senate. Alsobrooks is a good person. She'll do a great job. She seems a centrist, not an extremist.
I wish Wes Moore would give Hogan some appropriate job in the MD government where he could be useful. |
| OP what if Trump wins. You good with his judicial choices that you know Hogan will vote for? |
If Hogan is a centrist, as his record shows, why do you think he would vote for anything far right? Has he while MD Governor? He knows who elected him and who he would be representing. |
NP. I won’t even consider voting for Hogan since he said he’d caucus with the Republicans. It infuriates me that his commercials say he’s put country above party. No, he hasn’t and he’s not going to. He’s wrote in long-dead Reagan’s name on the 2020 ballot. |
Me and my whole family. |
I wrote in Mitt Romney. Was hoping others would. |
Says who? The House flipping is as likely as not right now. |
He will caucus with the republicans, who want to ban abortion and other women's health priorities. No thanks. |
Please explain how having the Senate controlled by the GOP with a potential Dem president helps? They own't confirm ANY appointments, judicial or executive, and they won't pass any legislation that is viable at the executive. And if you vote for Hogan and Trump wins, then you will have one party controlling everything. I guess you want more Alito and Cannon sitting on our federal benches? |
|
Me too, and several of my friends and family are as well.
I think Hogan is the right choice for Maryland and I like what he did governor. I also think Harris is the right choice for the United States. |
| Hogan is fine on his own, but the problem is he would vote for some whackadoodle to be majority leader, and would have no real power as a junior senator. He would get pushed into voting for MAGA judges and picks a la Susan Collins if Trump ends up winning. So whatever moderate instincts he may have, they wouldn’t matter when he’s one senator in a republican majority. |
