Wtf.

If such a Hall of Fame actually existed (it doesnt- lol), I doubt they would be putting in people with 8 career college catches. LOLOL

It does exist.

He was recommended, everyone signed off on it, it was approved, never processed

Well he never got the award, so that is stolen valor. That is fraud and disrespectful to military vets. You don’t put military awards on a resume because you think you might get them. That is intentional and dishonest and it make me question the truthfulness of the excuse he is telling. Someone who is honest to begin with would not put a military award on their resume until they actually receive it.

Yes. This. Shame on him.

+1 A total POS

- signed 17 years USMC

This from the party who has Trump as their standardbearer. The guy who got five deferments due to "bone spurs" even though there's plenty of pictures of him skiing happily through the mountains during those years...talk about double standards.

+1 Funny how Trump gets a free pass on his draft dodging and denigrating of the military. It's almost as if people have double standards for Democrats.

The application is hyperlinked in the story. He says he was named to the “Maryland College Football Hall of Fame.”

I can’t find the Maryland College Football Hall of Fame on the internet. You linked to a non profit that promotes youth football in greater Baltimore. Not the same thing.

Correct. Because there is no such thing.

I'm a MD democrat and voted for Moore in the general election but was disturbed by all of this lying (which had been revealed at the time). The odd thing is that with his actual accomplishments and charisma, he didn't need to lie to win the election, which makes the lying that much more disturbing. I think he has doomed his chances for national office.

My husband has several and even he laughs when people have it on license plates they give it out a lot.

+1
I pointed out some of his lying right here on the sub, but everything was brushed off as insignificant, and everybody lies!

I agree, he is so charismatic, an affable man, and honestly good looking, which helps in politics, that he did not need to lie but he does. I think if he lied and wasn’t all of those positive things he would be heavily scrutinized.

They grant "scholar-athlete" awards.

Not actually winning the claimed award is a problem, but the organization and award clearly exists. Slight paraphrases of this that are already word soup are not important.
