PP here. I'm fairly paranoid and I think the House will certify a Biden win if that happens. There will be some dissenters (or whatever you want to call them) but I think a lot of these folks are true Trump believers and will abide by the Electoral College results. The other part of that is that this is not 2000 and no one is going to fold. This will go into litigation and I am pretty certain no one wants that. Because the likelihood of violence goes up exponentially then.

Uh no. This guy was charged with firing rounds not burning a building down.

Four other men (not right wing) were charged with the Molotov cocktails and burning of the building.

That violence was wrong and should not be condoned, and in fact was prosecuted. But protests, even violent ones, are not the same thing as storming the Capitol with the intent of forcing the US Congress to keep a defeated President in power. That is called an attempted coup and it's orders of magnitude worse than protests against police violence.

The important thing will be your ability to access your money, I think like you, so what do we do with the money… put it all in an offshore account? I have an HSBC account in India and I am so torn as to what to do. I don’t even know if I can transfer all my money to a foreign account. Yes, I also have dual citizenship.

Whether January 6th can be classified a coup or not is irrelevant to the big picture as it relates to Trump and the 2024 election. What is most relevant is the fact that the people in Trump's inner circle, his children and closest staff, testified UNDER OATH revealing their correspondence with Trump during the afternoon of Jan 6th which included specific details on where, when and what Trump was doing while the United States Capitol building had it's security forcibly breached by a mob of hundreds. Trump was in the The White House watching the storming of the United States Capitol building on TV while ignoring texts and phone calls from people within his closest network who were pleading for Trump to step up and respond like a any other president in American history would in a moment when one of the most important and sacred US Federal Government buildings was in the midst of having it's security breached by hundreds people. Trump ignored those pleas and did nothing for hours. Hours! This is what happened per the testimony of Trump's closest inner circle when they were forced to disclose these details under oath. He should never being considered for this job again. Most Trump supporters are smart enough to figure this out but they won't admit to it. This is all basic common sense when you remove the partisan brainwashing from the equation.
