Are you joking? They burned down a police precinct in Minneapolis and held a federal courthouse under siege in Portland for months while assaulting police officers on a nightly basis? You don’t remember this or are you just being daft.

That violence was wrong and should not be condoned, and in fact was prosecuted. But protests, even violent ones, are not the same thing as storming the Capitol with the intent of forcing the US Congress to keep a defeated President in power. That is called an attempted coup and it's orders of magnitude worse than protests against police violence.[/quote]
