+100 I was just reading about Ilhan Omar's daughter, the one who was arrested at Columbia. She sounds absolutely exhausting. Can't imagine living with someone like that. |
You think Omar is representative of liberals? |
She is representative a lot of younger liberals and certainly tolerated and even supported by the rest. |
Not really "The study was conducted by surveying 6,643 parents, 2,956 of whom lived with an adolescent, as well as 1,580 of the adolescents. The groups were asked about mental health and doctor visits, as well as parenting styles, relationship quality, personality traits, and views on the institution of marriage. They were also asked about social media use." It is a self-reported survey. The author of the paper works at the IFS. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/institute-for-family-studies/ In review, the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) reports on and researches the role of marriage on the health of children and society. Most information on this website is rooted in fact and is well-sourced. There is little use of loaded language; however, story selection favors the conservative view of traditional marriage. While IFS does not come out directly and say they oppose same-sex marriage, they routinely promote two-parent heterosexual families as the ideal. And while the PP posted a link from MSN, the article was originally posted in the Washington Examiner. The original study was posted on IFS but then puts a political spin on how authoritative parenting is best and basically only used by conservatives and also that positive views on marriage institution play into it somehow. The issue is that 1) its self-reported and 2) its self-reported. Oh, and 3) is being used politically. |
| Fyi, most psychiatric drugs are dispensed on the basis of self-reported symptoms. |
This is true for any kind of drug. |
I always assume it refers to white liberal americans who are clueless about people of color and always know what is best for POC. |
What?!? No. Most drugs are NOT dispensed in the basis of self reported symptoms. |

Does that poster understand she illustrated the point of the study perfectly? I’m guessing no. |
I'll give you an example: I had a sudden, severe tooth ache on a Friday afternoon. I couldn't get in to the dentist until Monday, so I went to urgent care and they prescribed me some painkillers. I would think most prescriptions are dispensed in a similar fashion. |
Nope. If you want pain meds for a nasty fracture, doc can see the X-ray. Funny how the pharma industry refuses to allow brain scans to see that chemical imbalance most Americans now seem to have. Why is that? |

Once again no, MOST drugs are not prescribed in a similar fashion. Heart meds, cholesterol meds, diabetes meds, to name a few, rely on exam, test results and bloodwork before they are prescribed. There are some, like in your example, that are prescribed based on pt report. But by far the majority are not. |
There is no way this is real. I always knew liberal parents are to blame for how screwed up kids are these days but this is incredible. Your kids will probably end up killing themselves or shooting up a school. |
Why are you so triggered by the pp? What is so strange about any of that? |
