I think it's just people who spend way too much online trying to gatekeep correct opinions about everything, and having that rewire their brains. Running around saying things like words are violence, incapable of handling any criticism, general histrionics, humanities dept word salad nonsense like Palestine is fundamentally a queer feminist issue etc.

OP here. It’s the incapable of handling criticism and words as violence part that has been concerning me lately. And I say this as someone who is center left. There is a rigidity in thinking and inability to tolerate differing viewpoints that has been spilling into my personal life, that is really disappointing.

The people I see who are emotionally overwrought about pronouns and dozens of other imaginary grievances are conservatives. You guys seem to spend every day searching for a new petty thing to melt down over even though it does you no harm.
