Anyone following ambani pre-wedding events?

I hope an anarchist gets into one of these events.

How much did they pay Ivanka Hillary etc to attend?

LOL. Americans came for free to check the amazing "Indian Wedding" off their bucket list. These people come wagging their tails when people have money. At one time it was the rich oil sheiks and the crazy rich Asians that made them dance on their tunes. Now it is the Indian Billionaires.

The only people who looked as if they belonged to the circus was awfully dressed Americans who do not have a sense for Indian clothes. They looked like clowns. With all that money, you would think that they would get a stylist to dress them up. Horrendous!!

Every American I know who was invited to a lavish Indian wedding was provided everything -- including their clothes -- by the hosts. It would have been offensive to refuse to wear them.

The clothing was beautiful and custom made by top designer and their team. People just racist.

Hate the billionaires for stealing and hoarding wealth, not for your classless attacks on their looks.

Ambanis are much loved in India because their stocks made the common man rich. Their lavish weddings had added glamour and excitement to the Indian wedding industry. "Wed in India" is something that Modi and Ambanis are propagating. The wealth generated via this wedding spending has indeed percolated downwards. As for the Bollywood connection? Bombay is a hub for commerce as well as the film industry. It is like LA and NYC was one and the same place.

Yes, Indians have always had big weddings. But then the divorce rates are also low. So, it is not as if you waste all the money on a wedding that will end in divorce. Besides, now the wealth in India is growing so they can spend it any way they want. It's not as if the wealth will be spent on alimony and child custody battles.

Why no outcry when BRF spends money (from looting India) to get their horse-faced children married?

You are a disgusting person to use the term "horse-faced".

The BRF has had outcry for generations.

If you cannot buy a home or tackle inflation, why should they cut their life for you ? So much hatred in this world ! They worked hard and are celebrating , why does society expect them to be saints because they are rich ? What's cringe is the body shaming and jealousy !.stop ranting and go have a life

Such hard work to be squeezed out of wealthy uterus!

Maybe they are trading business/promises to secure the bond for Trumps lawsuit. Not sure why the Saudi’s handed over $200mil to bush league Jared but if this doesn’t have “favor” written all over it I don’t know what does.

Anyone see the photos from sangeet?

This wedding is the grossest thing I have ever seen and I think any publication covering it needs to check themselves. No. Awful. And wrong

I agree. Excessive consumption to the max. But even beyond that, the need to brag about it rather than making everyone sign NDAs and take phones, like most celebrities. Really gross display.

And not to mention, what even is the point of so many wedding events for the couple? Is any of this really special to them?

Wow this is a repeat of the posts for Prianka Chopra's wedding a few years ago. You really just can't stand that other cultures have other traditions and that's ok, can you.

Ha, immediate PP here. This is my culture, lol. I have nothing against Priyanka Chopra. This wedding is worse than anything I’ve seen. I don’t care about a standard $1 million celebrity wedding. This is so beyond that.

This is my culture too. I was reacting to the point about multiple wedding events - isn't that typical for the super-rich? I mean my wedding was really humble and we still had multiple events. My cousins put everything from my wedding online (not that anyone cared ).

They had servants carrying and putting people's shoes back on their feet after haldi event.

It would've been fine if it was a private event but flaunting wealth and promoting a culture of opulence in a country where most parents go into debt to finance marriages and dowry, its just tone deaf.

I love big fat Indian weddings. Even those of most of the recent Bollywood weddings.
But this was pointless. Who on earth has multiple PRE weddings?
The money being spent no matter what kind of billionaire the family/dad is, is tone deaf.
Even if they earned their wealth, this kind of opulence is frankly disgusting.
Its shuddering to think how many people could have had meals from just one of their events.

The Ambani son who is getting married is gross. He has the body and combover of DJT!

That gorgeous wife will earn every penny.

I don’t really get it, as it seems like she comes from money also and doesn’t need to be a trophy wife. I know that sounds superficial of me to say.

They were college sweethearts before he got obese.
