They met in 2017 when both were done with college and working for their parents so not college sweethearts, probably introduced for marriage prospects. However, they've been together for 7 years.

What began as the event of the year with massive Indian public interest regarding the 3 day bash in Jamnagar for the Sangeet, very soon turned into horror and disgust when this excess did not stop.

Plus, the difference between the awkward, obese buffoon of a prospective groom and the handsome strapping ex-BF of the bride make people feel that it is not a love match but rather the bride was cajoled because the Ambanis can ruin the bride's parents financially.

Here are some old pics of them. I like them together. Yes it's definitely motivated by money but they compliment each other. She's always happy and giddy around him and I don't think it's just because of money.

Were all these celebrities paid to attend this wedding? It feels weird that they would be close to the Kardashians, John Cena etc etc. I more understand the Clintons, Bill Gates etc as Indian weddings often include the parents’ associates, who may not know the couple at all.

I read the estimate for the cost of the wedding is $156 million. 😳

The event is tacky and embarrassing. This does not reflect desi culture or values. This is flat out nouveau riche and Bollywood.

Even with all that money so many of their set designs were cheap. The bride walked down steps with the large electronic diyas. Enough said.

Kardashians are looking for business opportunities but they looked like porn stars in costumes.
