This is such a terrible argument. Polling is always about name recognition, and the President will always have greater name recognition than an unannounced primary challenger. However, IF Biden were to step aside, there would quickly be a high-profile Democratic challenger, and they would instantly poll at or above Biden's level. My guess is that they would then start to climb, because so many people want a non-Trump candidate who isn't geriatric.

Two years ago, California had a budget surplus of $97.5 Billion. Today, they are looking at a budget deficit of $73 Billion.
He has somehow managed to make over $170 Billion disappear.
And, this is just the budget mismanagement. He has done so much more damage to CA.

Herein lies the problem. Newsome has the highest name recognition but is hated by many. Others want Kamala, others want Whitmer. Do you really think all Democrats across the country are gonna be like, Yeh, I'll vote for that person I have never heard of because Joe is "too old?"

And also, why is it that Democrats need to find a new candidate? Biden isn't the one with 91 criminal indictments including rape and fraud. Complain to the GOP for their horrible candidate.

Biden wants new sanctions on Russia for killing Navalny, which was horrific, but keeps funding Israel when they have killed thousands and thousands of innocent Palestinian children, which is far more revolting. Navalny returned to Russia knowing he would end up a martyr; the only “crime” these children committed was being born not Jewish.

I just can’t bring myself to vote for the guy again. If Trump gets elected, let the chips fall where they may.

If Biden continues in 2025, he could easily die or step down, which leaves Kamala as President. That is fine, but then she’ll run in 2028 and almost certainly lose. I would rather get a Democrat in now who can win again in 2028.

Here is the thing though....Haley will not be the GOP Nominee. And if Trump is dead or in jail and somehow she is, the MAGAs will not be voting for her, none of them, at all. So she still isn't viable on the national stage.
