He sounds amazing.

Weird comment! Why is this 12yo more ‘amazing’ than another 12yo DS who wants something like sneakers or dice for D&D?

I rolled my eyes at that “he’s amazing!” comment too.

They’re ALL amazing! So, please, more gift ideas, lol. Seriously, girl age 15-17 especially. Please and thank you.

My 15 yo DD is very into candles, so I got her a pretty candle care set with a snifter and wick trimmer. I picked up a astrology constellation necklace on Amazon during their last prime day that looks good for layering. She's asked for a very oversized sweater and I'll get that. But that's all I have thought of so far!

Yes they are! There’s no need to make nasty comments because someone said something nice about another kid.

Does your DD have a favorite animal? You could “adopt” one through the WWF. They send you a plushie and a certificate.

Another idea for a candle lover is a candle making kit from CandleScience. They have everything you need to make 6 candles that are really professional looking with no skill required. Most of their stuff is geared towards people who make candles to sell, but look at the beginner kits.

For 15-17 year old girls I suggest a Baggu crescent bag or a Uniqlo crossbody bag (Uniqlo is less expensive but Baggu has cuter designs), Nike Pro-Fit socks (plain white, or Dicks has some in neutral tones that are cute if your kid has the Ugg slippers), Rare Beauty blush or highlighter, Colourpop eye shadow palettes (inexpensive but good quality), Summer Fridays tinted lip balm, Laneige lip mask, a cute phone case from Casetify, jewelry from Local Eclectic

For 15-17 girls, Ugg Tazz, Gorjana earrings/necklaces, lululemon align mini-flare pants, small shoulder bag (like Coach Penn or Staude Ollie or bean), Stanley cup, perfume, Dior lip oil.

Thank you for this! I am buying gifts for a teen girl through an organization, and she requested "makeup"-no brand/color/type specifics, so this is helpful!

^ also for teens who like candles - a candle warmer lamp (this one is available on Amazon).

One year I took Tween on a day trip to NY to see Mean Girls. Dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner and then back on Amtrak home. Big winner gift. (And it was Feb 2020 when we went, so at least we got that in before Covid!).

Not sure what I'm getting my almost-18 year old this year. She says she doesn't need anything. Which is lovely, but probably not actually true.

I love that candle warmer lamp! Brilliant. (8:55 here) Adding that to my list for her now.

My daughter is a tech theater kid, and we got her her own tool kit and tool apron last year. She loved it.

Are the straws on those Stanleys always up?

My kid wears this Abercrombie popover hoodie all the time, says it is his most comfortable one. I don't know if its fashion forward or not though LOL.

Anonymous wrote:Tween boy, 12, wants: Robux, stuffed animal, Pokémon cards, variety of ramen packs, AirPods, Naruto figurine, several sets of books, a sword, a drill, and a Great British Bake Off book. No, he is not getting a drill or a sword.

Teen boy, 15, wants: hoodies, a soccer ball, and a trip to see his favorite soccer team (that’s not happening).

🤣 amazing

Get him a drill and let him do home improvement projects and hang things.

I saw this idea on tiktok but I am doing it for my 10/14 year old girls because I think they’ll love it. This mom said she goes through her camera roll and uploads pictures of her kids she took throughout the year to albums on CVS photo and then prints them so each kid gets an envelope of physical photos of themselves in their stocking each year. I have pics of my kids on vacation, with friends, for fun events, just hanging out, and rather than sitting in my camera roll forever each girl will get a collection of photos of herself throughout the year.

Relatedly, I gave them each disposable cameras 2 years ago and they LOVED them. My 10 year old got a cheap digital camera for spring break this year and a $10 cable that will transfer them from the digital camera to a device. Highly recommend if your kids are like mine and like the “vintage” aspect of lower tech/physical pictures.
