Nah I agree. Not because I feel superior about it but because the stuff listed is expensive AF. Which isn’t a concern for many according to this thread! I think her younger sister on the other hand might end up liking the “in” stuff when she’s a teen.
Yep, I think some people think the materialism comes from the parents but a lot of times it’s the luck of the draw. My 16 year old daughter is happy in target sweats and my 11 year old wants Lulu 🙄
But it doesn't come from no where. Peer group, Internet/social media influencers.
When I was a kid it was magazines. If Seventeen or Cosmo said it was good the popular girls would blindly follow.
