Drastic change in rigor/prestige/whatever from high school to college

I comment, for sure, if you have been one of those people that have been for years, subtly or directl, telling me that I am not being a good parent because I send my kid to our local DC public high school.

I'm not trying to be attractive. I'm trying to make the point that I did not appreciate you insulting me and my child for many years.

OP here - I never insulted you and your child. We no longer live in the DMV, and contrary to what a PP assumed, my child will not graduate from a DC Big 3. A decent private school, sure, but we're solidly middle-class people just trying to make the best decisions for our kids. My friends all homeschool and send their kids to public schools. You really do sound bitter with your assumptions.

OP, I wasn't speaking directly to you, obviously, since I don't know who you are. I was speaking theoretically about the handful of parents who have done to this to me and my kids over our years as public school parents.

Okay, sorry. But for whatever it's worth, most private school parents don't think like that.
