This all makes it seem like she quickly got out to check on what she thought she saw….and was then snatched (but she up a fight before being taken). |
Eh but no other motorists reported a child. No traffic cams picked up movement other than cars and, allegedly, her car on the shoulder. (and not the perpetrators car either). So no perpetrator's car? Are there houses nearby? A deep culvert or drainage area for someone creepy to hide/live in? |
^^Actually, the footage at 1:20 may be the poles of the large interstate sign being illuminated instead of a car door opening. But illuminated by what? Her car didn't light them up. |
What is strange is that there was a ton of traffic passing by--much of it in the right hand lane. No one saw an abduction?
And where was the second (grey) car? There is no car coming or going---not even a car with it's lights off. |
Where do you see this? Way to the right? I see the light you mention at 1:19. |
Could maybe have been an animal attack?
Maybe she thought she saw a kid and it wasn't. It was a bear or something. I don't know. It's all very strange and sad I hope she's found and the child is too if there was one. |
Are we sure about this grey car thing? I’d be tempted to believe that something nefarious was happening between people with no car on the side of the road |
Damn, that’s a reasonable guess! |
This may be the case, but it makes no sense to me? There are so many more vulnerable populations (runaways, addicts, etc.) that are easier to kidnap without anyone immediately noticing they’re gone vs. taking an adult woman with a family she is obviously close to. Also, you have no idea who is going to pull over — could have been a large man. I could see my DH stopping for a kid on the side of the road since he’s a dad of young kids and this would worry him. This just seems like an absolute crapshoot from a trafficking perspective. Or maybe I’m just really hopeful that if this doesn’t have a happy ending, that whatever happened to her was quick and not terrible. I saw the press conference with her family and her mom’s voice was trembling. Apparently Carlee had picked up food for them both. You can tell she wants her baby back so badly. |
How far is a bear going to drag a person? And then there'd be plenty of her blood to track. |
Yeah animals don't erase evidence. |
A bear attack, or any other gruesome attack, would leave evidence of a struggle - blood (either victim or culprit), a shoe that may have fallen off while flailing, new scratches on the car upholstery, drag marks in the dirt etc. I guess police aren't revealing wgat evidence they have |
After watching again, the light at 1:19 is the pole of the Interstate exit sign being illuminated - BUT something that is not her car or the other cars passing is illuminating it. Watch the right side of the video from about 1:00 through to 1:30 - there's a vehicle (I believe it's a vehicle) off of the shoulder on the right. It's to the right of and behind the sign that has the gas stations/restaurants listed. It moves past her car - you can clearly see one headlight beam at 1:26-27. |
Animal attacks don't always leave lots of blood. And an attack by a human is going to leave more than a wig. I think the police are withholding some information |
