Things you wish you could say to your boss, but never would

Your other direct report is a total ***hole who tries to pull rank on her colleagues and throws everyone under the bus when in fact she is awful at her job. Not only are you too dumb to notice this but you actually promoted her. I’m starting to think you have no clue what you are doing

I have seen this, also! The pulling rank, taking advantage, not giving credit, and actively taking away credit where it is due- so desperate, due to lack of competence, education and skill. How do these people stay so long in these jobs, when they are terrible at what they do?

I don't understand what my job is, I don't think you understand what it is, I actually don't think you need me at all and i can't tell whether i am good at whatever it is I do, or terrible, which i think is a sign that something is very wrong.
Also i highly dislike many of the people here who are somehow empowered to be absolute a-holes and i am shocked, daily, that no one cares to do anything about that.

+1 you definitely don’t know what your job is and honestly, since you started, I’m less and less sure what mine is. Catering to certain aggressive clients isn’t going to make the rest like you, and it’s definitely not going to win the staff over. If you keep creating more services that are exclusively the responsibility of the rest of the staff, you can’t be surprised when we are overwhelmed. It also (again) doesn’t make the clients like you. They’re loyal to us and notice that we’re more overwhelmed than we’ve ever been. I hope the board holds you accountable

Please stop acting like our piddly government bonuses is some huge big thing and making us beg for them at our review. I’ll skip the 1,000 if I could skip the whole writing out my accomplishments and meeting with you thing. If you were paying more attention you would know what I did.

The case law disagrees with you on this.
