Why are you skeptical? NP but I actually only ever wear pants in the summer. I don’t really wear jeans but I like flowy lightweight pants that are summer only. Winter is dresses and skirts all season unless I’m very casual in leggings.

Why am I skeptical? Is that even a real question? Go outside on a snowy or brutally cold day. How many people are wearing skirts and dresses?

Lots of people do this. I do it all the time. Boots, fleece leggings, wool dress, long coat. It's one of my favorite looks in the winter.

Same. I would find it very annoying to tuck pants into my tall snow boots.

We don't get that much snow here. Very few people are outside for more than a few seconds when it is cold snow. You are going from a house with heat, to a car with heat, to a business or other house with heat.

This isn't new york where you are walking multiple places frequently, or walking in slush or snow.

I spend a lot of time outside in the winter. I like fresh air. So I wear pants.

95% of the time I wear skirts or dresses. They look better on me. I’m an apple shape with long legs.

Most of the time I wear dresses, sometimes skirts. In the winter I will wear pants because I don’t like tights very much. I even wear dresses to play with my kids on the playground and I do yard work. I have some that have built in shorts. Dresses are just comfortable. I also always look put together when going out because it’s a whole outfit.

My record for wearing dresses was when I was pregnant. I didn’t like pressure on my stomach so I didn’t wear pants for an entire pregnancy. And afterwards dresses were easier too. Dresses also were easier when my stomach grew because they have a stretch to them that pants don’t have.

Oh and I’m just regular shaped (not apple, not pear, not hour glass) and petite. My favorites are short dresses that tie at the waist.

What are these casual skirts that people are wearing? Any that would look good with baggy T-shirts?

I either wear tailored, short athletic skirts/skorts or a maxi skirt. I don't wear baggy t-shirts, but not skin-tight ones, either. Just fitted for a woman.

Np. Baggy t shirts don’t go with skirts. Why not just a regular shirt?

For those of you who were dresses all the time, isn’t it expensive? When I wear a dress, I don’t feel as if I can repeat it for two weeks because it seems so noticeable. Jeans are so easy to mix and match with everything.

I’m new to the dress or skirt daily movement! I wear athletic skirts to hike and to the gym, dresses for church, travel and running errands.

Also I find dresses time consuming because I have to make sure my legs look nice too.

I wear dresses all the time so I have accumulated a lot but I also have no qualms about rewearing the same dress twice in one week and definitely twice in two weeks is fine. I think you'll find most people are not paying attention to other people "repeating" their outfits and if someone does notice, they should be aware that most people have access to a washing machine to launder their clothes on at least a weekly basis.

I used to be like this in my 20s - skirts/dresses just fit better than most pants, and I'm slightly short so hemming was always an issue. Especially in the summer I almost always worse skirts, even casually.

But now I'm in my 50s. And carrying much more weight, especially belly. I have to wear jockeys under so I don't get thigh chafing. I'm probably 75/25 pants/skirts now.

I didn't realize it was so unique, but have been doing this since ninth grade so don't even think about it anymore. Does anyone else do this? (I do wear pants/shorts to work out, but change back into a dress or skirt immediately after.)

I love wearing skirts and dresses, especially in the warmer months. But I don’t wear a skirt or dress every single day.

I love looking feminine.

Why?
Jeans are pretty sexy if you have a good booty.

Easier access.
