Anyone else only wear skirts or dresses, every day?

Wow! Congratulations! I’m excited for you, trying on clothes and almost always liking what you see in the mirror! Good job ❤️

And, I would wear dresses but my legs are disproportionately large, so I’ve never liked that look.

Yesterday I wore a plain cotton summer dress and my family said I was fancy.

This has happened to me too! It's like wearing a dress = all dressed up -- even in a casual dress bought at the thrift store.

For work in the office I always liked dresses because they are simple and just one piece to select, but in the summer the AC was too cold, and in the winter it's just too cold for me to wear dresses. I can do fall/early spring in tights but not winter unless it's a warmer day.

Why are you skeptical? NP but I actually only ever wear pants in the summer. I don’t really wear jeans but I like flowy lightweight pants that are summer only. Winter is dresses and skirts all season unless I’m very casual in leggings.

Why am I skeptical? Is that even a real question? Go outside on a snowy or brutally cold day. How many people are wearing skirts and dresses?

I don’t look great in them, or I would wear them more often. Pear shape with large breasts, long narrow torso, and big behind. Sometimes a fit & flare works but otherwise, not great. I’m jealous!

The mother of one of DS’s friends always wears skirts or dresses. I think I’ve maybe seen her in pants once in the 15 years I’ve know her.

I don’t ever wear skirts anymore because I’ve gained weight and don’t like how my legs look.

OP here, and I thrive in the cold, and wilt in the heat. Generally in the winter I’m not hanging out outside for very long, but when I am outside, tights are enough for me.

Before I had kids, I wore skirts or dresses probably 75 percent of the time.

Once I had kids, I mostly switched to pants -- it's so much easier since I was down on the floor with them, or playing at a playground etc.

Now that they are slightly older I find myself bringing skirts/dresses back into the mix again.

I mostly wear dresses in warm weather. I cannot imagine wearing jeans when it's above 80 degrees. That would be a torture.

NP - I’m confused. You thrive in the cold but don’t stay outside very long when it actually is cold? I thrive in the cold, too, but mostly because it means I can be outside and active without drowning in my own sweat.

Yes, because nobody else wants to sit around for two hours outside in January with me.

When it's above 70, yes everyday. Menopause hot flashes are easier to manage.

I wear sandals or birkenstocks, sometimes sneakers but not often. Would wear dressier shoes if I was going into work.

Re: winter. I inherited a quilted wraparound skirt from my grandmother. It’s the warmest thing, like being wrapped up in a blanket. Much warmer than any pair of trousers I own. I generally wear trousers in winter but it’s not because I think skirts aren’t as warm.

I’ve started wearing skirts and dresses a lot more. In hot weather, they are just much more comfortable. Also, it’s one and done - no worrying about matching separates - and easy to look put together.
