Congratulations for destroying NoVA!

A local Democrat could run over a box of puppies and kittens, take a dump on a baby, then shoot someone in broad daylight and still end up winning.

The people in NoVA will find any excuse to vote Dem regardless of how bad the candidate is.

It's the same thing with many Republicans and Donald Trump.

No matter what these people say or do, they will always have loyal legions of cult-like supporters.

The Dems up here will destroy the area, have fun!

Voted for Descano bc I think he’s doing a fair job and Nuttal had too many Republican endorsements for my comfort. Voted against McKay but knew that was a long shot. I’m pretty much thrilled with the results.

I voted for Salim for the same reasons. Voted for McKay though: don't love him but his opponent did not have a coherent platform.

Uh no, as demonstrated by Chap.

He's a bad D candidate and lost the nomination.

Look, most Democrat voters I know are very closed minded when it comes to politics. Their way or the highway type of mindset. It is and will continue to be the downfall of DMV area, but the voters have spoken. I know many who have left the area due to the polarizing way of Democratic/Liberal voters, and I've known some who just stop voting and being involved in politics. I guess that's winning in some people's viewpoint, I see it as an adjunct failure. Kinda sad.

True! For example, most Democratic voters believe that you shouldn't violently storm the Capitol to interrupt the Electoral College proceedings, when you are upset that your candidate lost! And are completely intolerant of people who believe that this is ok - for example, people who refer to "Democrat voters," watch Fox, and hang around with MAGA Republicans.

Any republican or independent running in the general election or are we stuck with Stella, Saddam, and Descano? These guys suck and don't represent me. Who is voting for them??

I miss the times of moderates in VA.

Hopefully we get some reform around towing legislation now that A1 has lost their political cover

I miss the times of moderates in the US as a whole.

Are moderates the minority? Are the extremes Rs and Ds just the most vocal (and leaving us moderates with no choice but to vote with our party albeit disgruntled)?

I agree with this. I usually vote Republican because the far left is too far but I'm so tired of far right republicans also that try to infringe on basic human rights and are for lax gun laws. Will anyone moderate run??

Ds are so crazy like that! Obviously, people should be able to violently storm the Capitol anytime they want.

They also don't think women should control their own bodies. Can you believe it?

They will definitely be the downfall of this area.

There are plenty of moderate Democrats, including plenty of moderate Democrats who hold elected office.

In contrast, the moderate Republicans have either been booted out as RINOs, or have left in disgust or horror, and the fight in the Republican Party is now between the MAGAs, the MAGA fellow travelers (MAGAs INO), and the ultra MAGAs.
