OP, you did kindness to this young woman by giving her the opportunity to join the working group. That was nice and supportive of you.

She has not acknowledged that and now seems to be making a fool out of herself. She may be blind to how she is perceived.

I would not invest in this relationship and expect gratitude or reward, but if you feel inclined so you may wish to check in with her to see how she is doing and if the working group is everything that she imagined it to be.
