The video of the protest was appalling to me. Such rude behaviors from the counter protesters: the glaring music drowning out voices, the middle finger, the rude comments. This is what Montgomery County has become?

The fact that gay people exist in real life and therefore in some books is not a "viewpoint."

DP. I watched Mink's testimony twice and did not find her to be spreading hate or discord. She had been speaking directly with protesters and acknowledged their concerns, but ultimately concluded that their position that opting out wouldn't cause harm to anyone wasn't valid.

Mink labeled Muslim children as linked to white supremacists. That’s not okay. At all.

She has also referred to police as thugs and goons in the past, and frequently has called for defunding. That’s not a good look for a council member on the public safety committee. I’d go so far as to say that’s a reason she should be removed from that committee. She has also suggested white women shouldn’t have leadership roles and that they should not be provided a voice.

She has a problem with lumping people together and then labeling. She represents a wide, diverse area. That area contains Muslims, officers, and white women. It’s hard to represent people’s interests while simultaneously slandering them.

She causes harm. The children that day were saying they want to be opted out, not that they want to remove books. That causes a heck of a lot less harm than Mink’s statements do.

This group is militant group with deep political support here. No one is going to win against them. Child grooming is going to happen and if you don't want it move to private as they have told many parents here.

DP. I watched Mink's testimony twice and did not find her to be spreading hate or discord. She had been speaking directly with protesters and acknowledged their concerns, but ultimately concluded that their position that opting out wouldn't cause harm to anyone wasn't valid.

Mink labeled Muslim children as linked to white supremacists. That’s not okay. At all.

She has also referred to police as thugs and goons in the past, and frequently has called for defunding. That’s not a good look for a council member on the public safety committee. I’d go so far as to say that’s a reason she should be removed from that committee. She has also suggested white women shouldn’t have leadership roles and that they should not be provided a voice.

She has a problem with lumping people together and then labeling. She represents a wide, diverse area. That area contains Muslims, officers, and white women. It’s hard to represent people’s interests while simultaneously slandering them.

She causes harm. The children that day were saying they want to be opted out, not that they want to remove books. That causes a heck of a lot less harm than Mink’s statements do.

And guess what... they don't teach kids about gravity at a young age because it's hard to understand, just like understanding why some adults think that putting on a dress and make-up changes their sex. So, I think we can all agree to wait until they are a little older to learn about both.

DP. I watched Mink's testimony twice and did not find her to be spreading hate or discord. She had been speaking directly with protesters and acknowledged their concerns, but ultimately concluded that their position that opting out wouldn't cause harm to anyone wasn't valid.

Mink labeled Muslim children as linked to white supremacists. That’s not okay. At all.

She has also referred to police as thugs and goons in the past, and frequently has called for defunding. That’s not a good look for a council member on the public safety committee. I’d go so far as to say that’s a reason she should be removed from that committee. She has also suggested white women shouldn’t have leadership roles and that they should not be provided a voice.

She has a problem with lumping people together and then labeling. She represents a wide, diverse area. That area contains Muslims, officers, and white women. It’s hard to represent people’s interests while simultaneously slandering them.

She causes harm. The children that day were saying they want to be opted out, not that they want to remove books. That causes a heck of a lot less harm than Mink’s statements do.
