I have borderline asthma, so going outside feels pretty bad to me right now. Has improved since this morning though. I woke up dizzy and stuffed up.
Have all the air cleaners turned up to maximum now. |
| Supposed to be on an outdoor night tour in DC Saturday. Is it supposed to be better by then, or not until Sunday? Also, best site to check - still Wapo Weather Gang? |

I went out this AM to run errands. Nearly vomited in the car. Put on an N-95 I found in the pocket of the door. Helped.
When I watered plants an hour ago, much better but the wind was really moving things. Haze has improved as well. This is Great Falls. |

Code Orange for much of our area now. |
Alexandria. This was at 5:30 in the morning. It was smokey out for sure, but I felt fine breathing. 12 hours later, and I continue to feel completely fine/normal. |
Yup. Because we have to go to work and not sit at home all day, so I ran at 5:30 and it said 160. So I went to try, and kept going because I felt fine. |
You can get the AirNow app also. |
Sorry! Code Red. Might be Code Orange tomorrow. |
Problem was the smoke arrived quite suddenly at around that time, so unless you ran just a few minutes, it was at more than 200 by the time you ended. |
I checked, and it increased to like 182. Yes, not great, but also fine for many people without health/lung issues. |
Not really. |
Why do you care that this other person ran when the air quality was bad? They seem to have been fine with it. Their workout won't harm your lungs. I personally wouldn't have gone running this morning, but I can't imagine arguing with someone back and forth about whether they should or shouldn't have done it or whether they did or didn't understand what the AQI was at the time. |
