Apart from a small pocket of Code Red in Germantown, MD. |
| Please keep your pets inside as well. |
Of course, to the extent possible, but there is no way to avoid short walks for my dogs. |
My dog is NOT happy. He's used to going outside in blizzards and rainstorms. But since yesterday, all he has is pee and poo walks. I wear a mask, but have a really bad sore throat. There's no way I'm walking him farther. |
Of course. But they are bozos that keep the dogs outside all day or for a long period of time. |
| We're Maroon here! Wouldn't Indigo be the next step after Purple instead of Maroon? Who came up with these colors? |
And the Swifties rejoice. |
| I don’t understand the map. What are the green numbers for? |
They're for ozone, which is a safe levels right now. Ignore for now. Usually ozone pollution comes in July and August, with heat and humidity. |
| Why is the news still saying we’re at red? |
I was just wondering the same thing. Chuck Bell keeps saying code red, but Arlingtonalert says code purple. |
We have a pocket of really bad air heading south because of the wind. AQI may get into the hazardous range for some. Doesn't matter if you have a Code Red, Purple, Maroon, or whatever. Stay indoors. Good news is that this will be gone by Saturday. |
My beagle walked outside, peed in our driveway and turned right around like "nope" - |
| I see so many different numbers for my zip code. There’s no consistency. |
|
I went for a run this morning, when it was only 160. I felt completely fine, and continue to feel normal. It's jumped up a lot though and the day is getting worse.
