And the positive of them being scuffed up means you can wear them for several years (10+) and they will be in the same condition as opposed to other sneakers that are cheaper but will only last one season as they need to be kept in pristine condition to look “nice”, so they hold their value in that way. I have 3 but will never buy another one as they serve their purpose in my shoe collection and will last decades.

In other words, someone told you that it's ok to wear one brand scuffed but not the other? Fool ==> money.

What other brand of scuffed sneakers are hand made in Italy and will last forever and are super comfortable? Please let me know.

Santoni, Officine Creative, Premiata, to name a few, and they have nicer styles and are known for better quality.

Eww. But glad you like them!

Np most of those are not uglier than golden goose come on.

They mark you as an out of date fashion victim and they don't last forever, they're actually not very well made. They're still popular with the Real Housewives sets but that's about it.

It says you’re an outdated mom who stopped following fashion during the pandemic and gave up.

+1 They haven't been in style for several years now. Super dated looking. I'd rather wear my APLs or even Vejas.

If you are wearing Vegas you aren’t really qualified to give style advice. Just because you can’t afford GG does not mean they aren’t in style. Plenty of Europeans and college students would disagree with you.

Pretty much everyone here can afford GG.

But people don’t want to wear them anymore. Especially the college set. Why would they want outdated shoes worn by 40 year old women?

I was in Paris over the weekend and all the cool kids have moved on to Nike. Spending hundreds of dollars on dirty looking sneakers is one trend I am happy to see die.

These are not the shoes I would buy but those of you hating on people who like them are so unreasonable. They’re $600, and I think that’s a little silly, but we all probably spend more than what other people think is “acceptable” on other categories of stuff. You can buy $30 jeans but no one hates on me for buying $200 jeans. To say nothing of handbags, dresses, etc etc. If someone is within their budget, who cares? None of us discussing golden goose are buying clothes primarily for utilitarian value.

It’s not logical to hate people this much because of shoes. They’re just shoes. You don’t have to buy them. They aren’t hurting you.

I don’t get the venom.

What are the new in sneakers if golden goose and vejas are out? I’m looking for a cute pair that can be made a little dressier to go with jeans/cute top or dress.

I'm partial to my LV Airforce Ones.
