You’re right. I agree with you.

We should disarm dems first.

I thought the problem was mental illness, not politics, right? All those nutjob Rs who brought a cache of guns to a possible insurrection - they are nutjobs, right?

HICKORY, N.C. (WBTV) – Democrat Jeff Jackson has pulled a campaign ad that focused on a house owned by his opponent, Pat Harrigan. The move comes weeks after police began investigating a bullet that was shot into a house owned by Harrigan’s parents.

The Jackson campaign pulled the ad from WBTV late Thursday morning.

The ad centered on a lake house owned by Harrigan in Catawba County and ends with a shot of Jackson standing in front of a house on a lake.

The shooting happened in October, when Harrigan’s parents and children were in the house, a Harrigan spokesman confirmed.

A spokeswoman for the Hickory Police Department confirmed they are investigating the shooting.

Jeff Jackson Pulls Campaign Ad As Police Investigate Shooting Into Opponent’s Family Home

HICKORY, N.C. — Senator Jeff Jackson, the Democrat running for the NC-14 congressional seat, has pulled a political ad from WCCB-TV and other Charlotte TV stations that showed a house owned by his Republican opponent Pat Harrigan. The decision was in response to a Twitter post from Harrigan that accused Jackson’s campaign of threatening political violence.

The children of the republican candidate are now in hiding. Someone shot into their home.

Per the Jackson campaign- in your own linked article:

"Out of an abundance of caution, Jackson’s campaign pulled its campaign ad and issued the following statement:

“We fully support law enforcement as they investigate this incident and believe any wrongdoing should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We at Team Jackson pulled our ad in an abundance of caution and concern, but to be clear, the home involved in the incident has never been featured in any of our advertising,” said Tommy Cromie, Campaign Spokesperson.

It doesn't matter. What was the point of featuring any home at all? Would love to see the campaign ad.

Harrigan’s lake house is in Hickory, not in the Congressional district. He rents an apartment in the district and registered to vote there. It’s a simple ad.

So the ad went to Harrigan’s neighborhood at the very least? His parents also live in Hickory where the shooting occurred.

Two weeks later, Harrigan’s campaign decided to blame it on his opponent’s ad that showed a different house in Hickory to say that Harrigan doesn’t live in the district and didn’t rent an apartment in the district and change his voter registration until after he started his campaign. It’s a legitimate political issue to raise. It’s ridiculous to link the ad to the shot based on the known facts.

Absolutely legitimate. Could have been filmed anywhere though.

Can anyone tell me why there was an ad centered on a lake house owned by Harrigan? What was the message?

It's been explained multiple times. The home he lives at isn't in the district where he's running. That's why the home he owns was featured. It's not the home that was shot at. The shooting and the commercial don't seem to be linked, except that one home is owned by the candidate and the other home is owned by a family member. His campaign didn't even complain about the commercial immediately, it was a week or two after the shooting, and the ad was pulled with a statement against violence and in support of law enforcement.

That is a pretty darn strong link!

You will never keep a gun out of the hands of those that mean harm to others. And now that you opened the border to cartels, kiss any idea of gun control goodbye.

It wasn’t a secret that Harrigan lived in Hickory. He has a business there. He promised to move his family from there to the district if he wins.

Put me down as very skeptical. If someone was targeting Harrigan, why would they shoot the laundry room at his parents’ house? I’ve worked campaigns. Nuts show up outside a candidate’s house, vandalize campaign offices, etc. Not the parents. Also, if this happened 3 weeks ago, why did Harrigan’s campaign manager wait until yesterday to type and send a news release to the media?

so, we didn't have gun problems before "open borders", like when Reagan or Bush was in office?

Do you know that someone tried to shoot President Reagan, and that lead to the Brady Bill which deals with gun control?

Are Rs so defeated about gun violence and find gun control too daunting to tackle it? I don't think this country needs defeatists as leaders.

But, yea, I do see Rs answer to gun violence is more guns. That's their logic. More guns = more bad sh1t happening to people.

It looks like the gun was fired inside the house.

Many people are saying the gunman was wearing only his underwear and fired his shot in anger because the candidate didn’t appear for a Grindr hookup.

You seem confused. I heard it was a gay lover concerned about a pedophiles ring in the basement of the guys house. Apparently it is all proven on 4-8 lap tops that came out of Computer repair shop near Mar Largo. Seems like crime follows these republicans around.

Interesting how you make light of a serious situation. I can only imagine the blowback of someone made a joke like this about the Pelosi attack. Good to know Dems are the hypocrites they’ve always been.
DP

Do you seriously think there aren’t prominent Republicans making jokes about the Pelosi attack?

I'm talking about DCUM's finest. If a post like the above had been made about Pelosi HERE on DCUM, it would be deleted in a hot minute. And you know it, hypocrite.

You think it’s more important what people post on DCUM than what the former President’s son puts out to his 8 million Twitter followers? Get help.
