Am I the oldest menstruating female on the planet?

If you are obese you will likely have a late menopause as fat produces estrogen. Keep your weight in check ladies!

Mine stopped at 53. I was regular up until then and then it just stopped cold turkey. No hot flashes, not headaches. Nothing. It’s been 4 years now.

I’m 53, weigh 110 and periods are still like clockwork. Spare me your fat phobia.

I got all that removed and SO glad I did!

I just turned 56 and if I go one more month, I can officially say I’m done. It’s been very light for the last two years, but I had one last hurrah with bleeding so terrible I almost wound up in the ER. It is what it is, but I’m enjoying wearing pretty underwear with no liners.

No sign of cycles slowing down.
Aunt Flo just keeps returning.
It doesn’t seem fair!
I started on the late side.. age 15… but not unusually so.
My mother had menopause early, in her late 30s actually, so I thought that might be my pattern too.
At 45 I thought about buying a Diva cup but figured why waste the money?
I didn’t know a ten year investment would have been worth it.

Just PMS venting…

I’m 57. Just did blood work. Still premenopausal. Apparently we may live to 90+. But yes it bloody sucks!

I’m also now 54 (and lean 5’9” and 122lbs) and still like clockwork but it is true that fat produces estrogen, especially a lot of fat. Pp was correct - just google it.

I refused to vacation with my nieces for a year because every time I spend a week or weekend with them and they were menstruating I had a period.

Take birth control and skip periods, it also makes perimenopause transition easier, switch to HRT once in menopause.

51 year old, 95 lbs. Had only one skipped period in the last 12 month. My doc says I could be in this stage for 2-5 years. Goodness gracious!!!

I just saw an article that says later menopause is good for your health as you age and may help with longevity. So, embrace it!

Ha! OP of this thread, started in 2022. Thank heaven! It’s been a year finally. I’m calling it.

I started at 56, done around 59. But, I had about one year of heavy heavy bleeding during that.
