Karl Frisch running for House of Delegates

How thoughtful of Karl to name call rather than defend his record.

Karl Frisch is a classic bully and friends in the Fairfax Democrats inner circle are afraid of him because of the out-of-state money he brings to the table. Parents also complain he is not responsive to their needs and refuses to put anything in writing because he is petrified of getting in a FOIA. I've also seen posts he only has a high school diploma. Can anyone confirm that to be true? The person he wants to replace is a respected lawyer and understands the legislative process. Karl seems to be a pretender. I think voters needs to look at all the candidates very carefully. Also, no one in Fairfax cares that he is a gay man. This is 2022. They do care about his record and that appears to be quite thin.

This is so true. Karl is a bully with his money from outside Virginia. He doesn't care one bit about the state. He is using this deep blue district to make a longer political run. I will not be voting for him now or ever.

Okay - so she is a mom, has an Masters, and is involved. She sounds very positive.

From her campaign website:

Holly moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue an undergraduate degree from American University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Communications, Law, Economics & Government. While at AU, Holly worked on Capitol Hill, the State Department, and the American Embassy of London.

Aspiring to make an even greater impact in the world, Holly returned to college seeking a Master's degree in Education. Holly graduated from The George Washington University with a M.Ed. in Elementary Education in 2003. Always learning, Holly has enrolled in multiple personal and professional development programs over the last decade, including a six month Emerge candidate training program.

Holly began her career in the nonprofit sector before becoming an educator in the public school system. Transitioning from the classroom to a small business owner in 2010, Holly launched a successful educational firm, offering STEM consulting services and educational programs to clients. In 2015, Holly launched the non-profit organization, BRAWS, to help women and girls obtain menstrual supplies and undergarments. Through her advocacy efforts, women and girls in schools, shelters, and prisons/jails throughout Virginia can now access supplies free of charge and tax-free.

Holly was named the 2017 Emerging Influential Leader of the Year by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Rising Star Heroine of the 2017 Heroines of Washington Awards, the 2020 DAR Community Service Award, designated a Citation of Merit from the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations 2020 Citizen of the Year, and the 2022 Martin Luther King Jr., The Spirit of King Award from the First Baptist Church of Vienna.

Holly and her husband, Erik, a software engineer, have raised their two children in the Town of Vienna, where they have lived since 2012. A leader in her community, Holly has volunteered in a number of capacities including Vienna Elementary School PTA, Madison High School PTSA, Vienna Little League, Vienna Girls Softball League, the Westwood and Machine Swim Teams, Northern Virginia Community College Advisory Board, Vienna Business Association Board Member, the Fairfax County Community Action Board, and the Virginia Council on Women. She has also been a proud escort of the Washington Area Clinic Defense Task Force, an all-volunteer group dedicated to safe access to reproductive health clinics.

A life long democrat, Holly has volunteered for democratic campaigns since she was in high school. In the last few years, she as raised over $100,000 for local democratic candidates and supported countless women (and a few good men!) running for office. She is an elected member of Central Committee of the Democratic Party of Virginia representing the 11th Congressional District and Virginia Democratic Women's Caucus.

She seems a bit Emily's List but still just about anyone would be better than Frisch on the SB or in the HOD.

Who in Vienna isn't "a bit Emily's List"?

Karl is the cause of so much harm done to our children during the pandemic. He took ZERO interest in helping special needs kids and others for whom the unnecessarily long closures caused significant developmental harm. The learning loss is real, yet he wants to waste money on other pet projects instead of helping the children. He has no business getting the support of any voter, much less the other politicians who have endorsed him. They want his out-of-state money and do not care that he does not have the best interests of Virginias, especially those with the greatest need, at heart. He is a disaster who needs to find an actual job. He didn't graduate from college, yet wants to make decisions that affect all of our lives. He failed at the school board, why would we give him greater control over other aspects of our community? Please let me know for whom I can donate, volunteer, whatever to help this not happen.

I’m sorry you’re homophobic and have to make up lies to justify it.

There is nothing homophobic here. I'm sure Karl made it seem like he had children without actually saying he did. He is shady like that. Bottom line Katl didn't care about the kids in FCPS while he's been on the school board and he won't care about the people of Vienna as delegate. He's doing this so he can run for Congress. He doesn't care about the people he represents. He cares about national politics. That's not right for Delegates.

The quality of Frisch’s decisions seems exceptionally poor. It’s frightening to think of his ever being in a position of even greater influence.

There will be a primary, but the date has not yet been set.

Typical Karl Frisch response -- instead of owning up to your lies and mistakes, you are just calling people names. I assure you I am not homophobic. I AM a Shrevewood parent who sees the harm you have done to our community. YOU ARE A BAD PERSON. You used families for your own political gain. You don't care about our children.

When the Stenwood families get kicked out of their school into Dunn Loring in a few years to justify Frisch’s convoluted scheme and reshuffling of bond proceeds, they won’t like him any better than the Shrevewood parents.

As someone who's not a parent of a kid at FCPS and never has been, nor will be soon, his views on the School Board should be irrelevant. It's a travesty that someone w/ no direct connection or experience to the schools is taking up his seat (no, his spouse being a teacher does NOT count).

He's been a total disaster on the SB, including in ways that also demonstrate he has no business whatsoever on the House of Delegates (i.e., has failed to monitor and address growth in Tysons and has misallocated FCPS capital dollars to an wanted renovation of Dunn Loring building that no one wanted, will lead to unnecessary boundary changes that inconvenience families, and will impede later efforts to build an ES in Tysons that would give the county's biggest growth area a sense of community). Just a total, complete imbecile.

But! But! He saved a dog park in the process!!!
