APS Back to School Nights

This has been clear in both communication from the principal and the teacher newsletter. And the PTA is hosting a thing afterwards. Also something you can ask at the open house, or at pickup, or the bus stop, etc. etc.

Interesting. Because we had BTSN in the 80s when I was in school and kids never went then either...

Same. There was BTSN for the parents and then a separate "Open House" event with the kids later in the year.

Also grew up in 80s. We went to the gym and played games. Sounds like schools vary.

Our principal emailed. Still no clear info on it. They did mention parking though. We’ll keep kid home jic

Our school has not communicated anything about bringing or not bringing kids to Back to School night. Presumably they are trying not to scare away parents who don't have the option to leave kids at home.

Yup. If you can’t get a sitter it’s better to bring your kid than miss it.

It’s also COMPLETELY ok to miss it. Honestly. It is.

So we heard from our school today. They have it at school but parents can also watch online. I like having the option. For my elementary kids it’s tough to come back late and get them to bed at the regular time.
