Yeah but some people really are allergic to them.

Really? Are people so allergic to dogs that passing them in an aisle in Home Depot is going to trigger an allergy? Can someone please answer this question?

I've noticed more and more pushback about it lately. There's also SO MANY selfish, irresponsible dog owners. In some neighborhoods, almost all except the super nice ones, it's almost impossible to go for a walk or run without hearing a dog barking madly at you. Why does the world completely revolve around dogs now

Have the exact same thoughts about entitled parents/kids. Now you know how the public feels and views you.

Of course. And their dander ends up everywhere in the store too.

I want to hear from someone who is that allergic that passing a dog in a store makes them allergic. Because I'm frequently in Home Depot wearing clothes with dander from snuggling with my dogs at home, so how is that any different? Are people having deadly allergy attacks from passing pet owners in public?

People can have anaphylactic reactions to dog dander. Just like peanuts. I’m not one of them thankfully- my son does anaphylaxis to dogs but only if they lick him (one of the reasons I abhor off leash dogs running around). He wouldn’t react to just walking past a dog. But I know people that will start itching and coughing if they’re in a house where a dog is. I’m like this in cat houses.

Pp did not say YOU had kids. Said entitled parents. Way to reflect your own obnoxious and insecure behavior. Speaking of coping…

They actually did "Now you know how the public feels and views you." Learn how to read, PP. And to shut up your dog.

And I don’t have dogs. So no coping here. See how that works? Assumptions much.

I'm the PP, and like you, I'm super sensitive to cats in houses, to the point where when we were looking to buy, spending more than a short time in a house that had cats would start symptoms that lasted for days. But that's in a home with cats or if I were to touch a cat.

No one should be subjected to unwanted encounters with dogs, whether touching, licking, or even brushing up against. But I find it hard to believe that people have allergies triggered by the 70-year-old woman shopping in Home Goods with a Chihuahua in her cart. I've researched this and have read over and over again that serious dog allergies are rare.

People who prefer the company of animals to people usually have major issues and like pets because they can control them and have no autonomy of their own.

You’re proving PP’s point.

Children are human beings. Dogs are not. You have to be joking.

This pro-dog agenda is very weird.
