DP, parent of 5 and dog owner. This isn't an issue of animals versus humans. We are talking about being considerate of others in public spaces. I would much rather sit on a restaurant patio surrounded by other patrons with well-behaved dogs than endure a baby banging on a table with a spoon or screaming for an hour while the parents ignore it. I've been in hotels where I hear a neighboring dog bark periodically, which bothers me much less than listening to kids racing up and down the hallway while shouting at each other. |
+1000 And it makes them look very bad when they say such stupidity |
I very much doubt that, you seem way too unhinged and crazy to be dog free. Do you have an emotional service goldendoodle? |
| As long as they aren’t pit bulls, I don’t care. |
| Where can I go to meet all these fellow dog lovers? |
And kind of mental health ward. |
| On Nextdoor, people call their dogs "furbabies." Gag me with a spoon! |
It truly is a mental illness. |

Ok, so I’m 61 years old. I’ve been around. Here’s my question: where are all of these dogs that everyone is talking about? I can count on one hand the number of times that I can recall seeing one in a department store, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. I see them all the time at beer gardens, restaurant patios, etc., but that’s about it.
I’m just not convinced that dogs in store where they don’t belong has become a national emergency. |
I agree. Someone starts one of these threads every month or so, leading to claims that all dog lovers are mentally ill. Is the same person? It's usually a complaint about CVS, a grocery store, or a pit bull eating indoors at a restaurant, which seems rather far-fetched. |
NP. Do you get out much? Be honest |
All the time. I live near Logan. |
Are you generally cognizant and aware of your surroundings? |
Do you realize that you are offensively ageist? |
Do you realize you are offensively removed from reality and gaslighting OP? |
