What on earth would they investigate her for? Being obnoxious? We don’t need an investigation for that. Not being honest? That’s everyone on the whole damn Internet. |
| Never go to a restaurant that pops up over and over on that group. Sure sign it is paid publicity and mediocre food. |
No- there is a lot more to it. Read the rest of the thread or search “Vienna foodies” on the Nova page of Reddit. There are insinuations of fraudulent behavior |
Exactly. And if there is another business that you like and never see posted about in there, you can assume she has been blackmailing them. |
Such as? LR is obnoxious for sure, but being obnoxious and a heavy-handed Facebook moderator is not fraudulent behavior. |
+1 What is this "fraudulent behavior"? |
|
The whole concept is silly, and why anyone pays attention to content there is beyond me. People posting neither have nor claim any expertise as food critics, so why should their opinions matter to anyone else? Even if the opinions posted are genuine and are not in fact carefully curated (dubious, but possible), how do you know those subjective assessments will line up neatly with your personal tastes?
The whole idea is ridiculous. |
Ok but you could say that for ALL restaurant/food reviews then. What’s the point of Yelp or any other place to leave a review. |
Exactly so, for the most part. Reading those kinds of reviews is pointless when it comes to food taste and appearance, both of which are highly subjective. One useful dimension can be comments regarding service, where most people share similar views as to what is good an what is bad. But taste? Not so much. |
| Recently discovered that this woman has also created a Reston Foodies Facebook group. |
| Half the posts on VF aren’t about Vienna food anyways. It’s worthless to try and get restaurant recommendations from it. It’s all fundraisers. |
| I left the group because I couldn’t take it anymore. |
