Anyone part of this FB group?
Thoughts? |
| Yes. Like it for the information I get. A little too sunshine and roses for me sometimes. I got the point of that during the pandemic, but you can’t get honest information. Only positive comments allowed. Lydia has done a lot for this town though. She could eat free on this town for the rest of her life! |
| Totally useless because everyone just says everything is great. |
|
A lot of it is just free advertising for restaurant owners.
I like it but personally I think some of the restaurants that get a lot of group support are bad. |
|
I enjoy reading most of the posts but think it's weird to not allow even constructive feedback. I don't eat out much but I have a list of places I will eventually try after hearing about them.
Why does the moderator control it so tightly? |
| I found the whole thing very creepy and fake. Really turned me off on Vienna altogether. |
Yes. Some of the restaurants that get hyped are terrible. Which is why the group is useless. |
| I want to know if the gas station Indian food is as good as they all say it is. |
I have the same question! So much hype on that group. |
That is pretty good! |
It is a solid option. Kind of weird that if comes from a gas station. But a decent option. Not a huge menu. |
We tried it once. DH thought it was OK, I couldn't finish my meal. The texture and taste of palak paneer was off. We're not going back. |
I didn’t like, chicken was dried out. |
| I like it for ideas and also to know places that will be opening up soon. I don’t use it for reviews. I google reviews for honest feedback. I like the idea of supporting local businesses. |
Well, I went as a lark with a friend because I'd heard so much about it from the FB group. I'm usually very skeptical about advice from strangers but I have to say it was fantastic. I would go back anytime. |
