Baltimore: Is it safe to walk to the Edgar Allan Poe house and museum from the Inner Harbor?

I’m sure most Baltimore residents are fine. Unfortunately, there are small factions in the city that have taken lawlessness to a new level. The acts of a small group have brought down the whole city. It’s sad.

Seems you really want to make this about race. I used to visit Baltimore all the time. Never gave a thought to which neighborhoods I traveled through and I went through them all- white and black neighborhoods. These days, I avoid all of Baltimore. The powers that be have enabled a level of crime that I’m not comfortable with. Sorry if that offends you. I pray for the city, it’s people and really hope that programs can be put in place that provide a pathway for its youth.

To answer your question if I feel the same way about DC, it would depend on the neighborhood.
